Came into the restaurant at 9:00 and there was maybe 3 other tables being served at this time. we ordered almost immediately and then began the wait. At around 10:15, 1 hour and 15 minutes later, we asked the wait staff if we were getting close to being served, they said we were next on the list. Then we saw a table that arrived 20 minutes after we did get served their food. After 1 hour and 40 minutes of waiting, our food arrived. The food was good but not 1 hour and 40 minutes of waiting good. Our waitress apologized but only after we voiced our disappointment. After paying our bill(non of it was discounted), our waitress apologized again and said that the red skin potatoes that were ordered with one of the breakfast dish took up 1/2 of the griddle and that only made it take longer. I have seen many responses about the griddle or the staff. Maybe the management should consider a bigger griddle and more staff? Just a suggestion. Overall I would say that this is a very negative experience and I will not being going back there again. The main reason why I am writing this review is to save other people 2 hours for an OK breakfast. Instead I would definitely recommend going to either the bostwick lake bakery: they have very good breakfast sandwiches for 1/2 of the price anything at aunt belles, or the gristmill near cannonsberg: they have very good breakfast and are very quick service even when they are...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped by on a Sunday when we had some time between work. We arrived at 11:30AM to grab some breakfast. We were seated almost right away and ordered within 10 minutes of being there. The other tables were fairly full, but there was no one in line behind us. After an hour and 30 minutes of waiting for our food, we were able to track down a waitress (no one had been by in a while) and asked if our ticket was coming up because at this point, we were running out of time before we had to get back to work. We were assured that our ticket was up next. Another 30 minutes go by and finally our food comes out. We ended up getting our food at ~1:30PM and having to scarf it down so we could get out of there and back to work. The food was decent (we ordered an omelette and a breakfast burrito). They also messed up my order, which, ok, happens. The restaurant itself is super cute and all the windows are beautiful. The food is fine, about average. The price is on the medium-high side. But the entire 2 hour experience we had makes us not...
Read moreMy wife and I have been sampling breakfast joints around the area every few weeks. This place looked promising. Clean looks, beautiful bathrooms, and cozy feel. It wasn’t very busy for a Sunday morning but I felt like the service should have been a bit more responsive. The menu looked good and had hearty offerings. The chicken and waffles were okay but the seasoning should probably be tweaked to pair better with the sweet of the waffle. The waffle itself was as basic as a hotels complimentary breakfast. The sweet potato home fries were okay. We had brought our child with us and weren’t offered a children’s menu or anything when we were seated. While we were leaving I noticed they did have paper kids menu with crayons at the hostess stand. Not sure why they didn’t give us one when we got there. The antique store was cool, however the two workers there couldn’t be bothered to look up from their phones until we needed to checkout. Overall, the food and atmosphere didn’t leave us wanting to rave about it to our friends, but does have a lot...
