It was ok - I really like the atmosphere and outdoor eating area, but the food is average at best and not a good value.
Our table had a burger and salmon/rice bowl - the burger was pretty good and large, but the chips were kind of a let-down...would be much better and more filling with fries considering the price for the burger and potato chips. It was at least cooked properly, a solid medium.
The salmon/rice bowl was pretty bland and the brussels sprouts were pretty much raw and the bowl as a whole was unseasoned/flavorless except for the sweet/sour sauce that didn't seem quite right. Once again, the actual piece of meat was well cooked, but the dish execution and overall experience wasn't quite worth it in my opinion. Still hungry when leaving, and not particularly memorable.
That being said, it was clean and not a total disappointment either - the nice dining area and good service made up for the food a bit...but I'd rather have it the other way and have an extremely memorable food and sub-par service or perhaps a less...
Read moreThis whole property is stunning. The outdoor seating, live music and overall ambiance make this a perfect spot for a summer weekend meal with family and friends. We enjoyed the wine tasting at the Cave as well, and highly recommend.
We arrived early as we had an exceptionally large party (28). We knew it would take sometime and were told they’d work to seat us in their large party space. Unfortunately after waiting a while (1.5 hours) we were told we would have to take random tables strung throughout their restaurant. We understood, the hiccup came as a table next to ours came open they attempted to seat a different party who arrived an hour after us. This was perplexing. What was happening is as tables together came open they continued to seat new arrivals as to not leave tables open. So we were never going to be seated together and that proposal was never realistic. We could have likely been seated much earlier if they had owned up to this. It would make more sense for a restaurant like this to offer large party...
Read moreWow! First time here, and what a total disappointment. The hosts were incredibly rude and passive. They couldn’t not be any less bothered to greet guests. We were second in line and the person in front of us showed for his table, slightly behind and the looked at him and said, “well… I called you three times!” He said he was in line in the gift store and they were very rude. The tables were pretty much empty, too. So not sure what the big deal was or why they acted like that. They were super rude, to my mom and I, too. We have our name and she snottily says, “is that the first name?! I need the last too!”
Well, bad first impressions are not good and I won’t be back. Overpriced and over glorified. Go to M Cellars or Laurentia in Geneva for a much better experience.
We left, didn’t eat there and...
