Victoria's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Canutillo

We have been regular customers since they have been located on Doniphan Street. We think they have some of the best steaks in town. We love supporting local businesses. In Canutillo and want them to succeed . In our recent past visits, we have noticed a decline in service, hospitality of the wait staff and quality of the food with a significant increase in cost. Parking has always been an issue here, as they do not have adequate parking for all their customers. Today we stopped by for lunch, mainly as there were parking spots available. We walked in and the lady at the hostess station said she would help us in a second and she left. She did not return. There was a waiter with napkins and silverware. We were ignored by him as well. There were 7 empty tables, all dirty. After more than 10 minutes another waiter appeared and cleaned a table for us. We were given dirty menus. While we waited for our food a family of four came in and after waiting and no one sat them, they sat at a dirty table. They were scolded for doing this. The whole time we were there, no other tables were cleaned. My husband ordered the chili verde. It was so salty he could not eat it. When they checked on us, he was asked if he did not like it? He said no , it was way to salty to eat. This is the first time we have ever had a bad meal. No attempt to fix the problem. Now that we have some new options for steaks, we will be going elsewhere. It is a shame to see a local business that has been gaining such a great reputation for their steaks continues to treat customers so disrespectfully. We would not feel comfortable returning. It is hit and miss on parking, tables, good service, and basic respect and friendliness to enhance...

Arrived at about 4pm with a party of 4. We were told right away the kitchen is a little behind by about 15-20 minutes. We figured that time would be bearable and decided to stay. A waiter took out drink orders and we gott out drinks about 15 minutes after we arrived. There were about 5 tables with customers when we arrived. After our order was taken, the time just kept mounting. All tables turned over to new customers while we continued to wait for our order. About 3 tables were served their food prior to ours even though we were there the longest. We became concerned and enquired about the wait and why everyone else was being served before us. We were told some orders take longer like steak and how it's cooked. I could see the other tables were being served steak and I ordered a medium rare steak, which doesn't take as long as well done. I was also told ours is the next ticket which confused me because we ordered before everyone else seated now. My other guests ordered soup x2, and the other a Mexican platter (flautas). Hardly time sensitive meals. A little over an hour of sitting there, my steak arrived. 5 minutes later the Mexican platter arrived and another 5 minutes later the soups arrived. So my whole party did nit get to eat together. The wait at this restaurant was not acceptable. I will say the steak was very good, but the time just ruined the dinner. We were offered a free piece of cake to share between the 4 of us but a better remedy would have been a discount since we spent so much time waiting and didn't want any cake. I probably would not visit this...

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Came in with my father and his girlfriend not to long ago. Shout out to the host who was an older gentleman he sat us down and we had a nice chat. I want to say about 10 minutes go by and not one waiter / waitress even came to offer us what we wanted to drink. We tell the host and he tells the waiter that’s literally been watching us and passing by us for the last 10 minutes that we haven’t been tended to yet. Finally when the waiter comes to ask us for our drink order (we all ordered horchata and it comes in a big mug and you can see when the waiter / waitress is going to fill your drink)Another 5 minutes go by after the waiter has taken our drink order and with no urgency / no effort looks like he doesn’t want to be there BARELY goes to grab the 3 mugs so we can finally get our drinks. After we saw this we felt we were given really bad customer service and just had to leave. When we told the host we were leaving he said “No no I’ll take your order now.” And the proceeded to try and take out order on the back of his little book. We declined and left $3 because the only thing we were served was chips for the past 15 mins. (We had enough time to look at the menu and see how much it was) To the young man with his hair flowing back that was our waiter, you ruined our experience. Hope you guys have a better experience than us, it’s really disappointing after reading all the good reviews for it to be ruined by a waiter that looked like had the attitude of not wanting to be there.
