La cruda realidad — Restaurant in Texas

Really fun decorated restaurant! Clean, tidy, and roomy.

Chairs are huge.. very cool ...but definitely not made to have a cozy dining experience....it's more like eating at the head of a table!

Service was excellent. All the wait staff seems to work together very well and all make sure that every customer is taken care of. Super nice and helpful!

But the food...hmmmm...maybe we've just ordered the wrong dishes....and maybe I shouldn't order off menu...and ......I can go on and on ...I so want to find a reason to explain why the food just was not good. 😭

The steak and cheese quesadilla we ordered was just completely inedible. I took a bite and literally had to grab a napkin and discretely spit it out ..I couldn't even swallow. ...the meat tasted freezer burned gone bad...it was hard like a dried pinto bean.😫

Caldo de res had crunchy vegetables that had not been cooked in the broth..the broth had a very weak, mild flavor like it had been watered down. It WAS edible (which should be assumed for anything you get at a restaurant)....but it was the most tasteless, flavor lacking soup I've had in El Paso. So disappointing.

The salsas are good ...the green Chile beef is decent, but nothing exciting, etc etc. Nothing stood out and I so...

First time ordering takeout the pork chop breakfast plate was ok the pork chops were so hard and dry. The eggs and hash browns were fine. The enchilada plate was really good super good sauce and eggs were fine too. I got champurrado and horchata to go. No straws. I did appreciate they put on a separate baggie my napkins and forks with a salt packet. Overall the food and the service was good. I will try other stuff on their menu and update my review cause just from the sauce alone I know they got flavor down so I'm wondering if they were just rushing and maybe the pork chops I got were a...

check your bill before you pay. the waiter likes to play price games and over charges. you get a free refill on tea and lemonade. he creates new items and charges you for an arnold palmer. then charges you your free refill to go, with mediocre service, enforces an over the top tip.
