I recently had a very poor experience at the Cape Carteret location. I ordered dinner for my husband and I: Stromboli (without mushrooms), a salad, spaghetti with a meatball, an extra meatball (under appetizers), and an order of 6 garlic knots. I’ll explain what I received in a moment. I made the order online at 6:02pm and arrived at the restaurant at about 6:30. There were several customers standing around waiting for their orders. I stood at the counter for over 5 mins waiting to be acknowledged by someone behind the counter. I get it - they were busy but didn’t look understaffed. Not one of the 6 employees I saw working, ever looked in my direction. They could’ve said - we’ll be right with you or something like that. Nothing. I finally got the attention of one when I loudly spoke up. I was told my order was getting ready to go in the oven. Ok - so I came back at 6:50 and waited a few mins until my name was called. I was handed 2 bags and took them home. When we opened them this is what we received: Stromboli WITH mushrooms, spaghetti with a meatball, an order of 6 garlic knots, an EXTRA ORDER OF 3 GARLIC KNOTS - not a meatball, and NO SALAD. This is not the first time they’ve forgotten to pack items but at least they refunded them when it happened. This time I tried calling repeatedly to the restaurant to complain and ask for a refund of the items not provided. The phone was busy non-stop every time I called. I emailed them from their website and have heard nothing - it’s been almost a week. Stellar customer service. My family will no longer go there or to any Michaelangelo’s. A business that could care less about their customers, shouldn’t be...
Read moreI have never written a review in my life, I live in Stella. I know what's it like to be a server or a host or a driver, you work for tips but also still get a paycheck, but michaelangelos told my fiancé when he was ordering from our address they haven't received a tip, now we have ordered twice in the past from them. Both times on the receipt it says "CASH ONLY" for tips. Now I only use my cards I hate having money around. So the first time when I saw that I asked why it said cash only and the driver tells me their computer is messed up right now. So the next time I figure it's fixed, I have a 4 month old son. I am home alone most of the time with him. I don't have time to go all the way out of Stella to go to an ATM to get a tip. I minus well just go to a cheaper better tasting restaurant if I want to take my 4 month old son out, and bring him everywhere. Anyways, when we called for pizza today like I said they were rude and said this to my fiancé "we have delivered out there a couple times and haven't received a tip, it's not required but it is recommended." YOUR JOB IS TO BRING FOOD TO ME NO QUESTIONS ASKED, I am a customer, you do not be rude to me or any other person because YOUR machine is down and can't take credit card tips. I wouldn't mind tipping you on my card. But I do not carry cash. Good food, horrible employment. & the last time they forgot to bring me my soda and garlic knots and it was clearly on the receipt so the driver had to come all the way back to me. & when she came back she stood there, and rolled her eyes at me and walked away. This is definetly not a way to get a tip. Sorry, but you never talk to a customer or tell them they...
Read moreI work at home, my wife is a CRNA at Carteret Hospital (front line worker), and we have a one year old son. When my wife got home tonight, after we fed our son, we decided to order a pizza, cheese sticks, and garlic knots from Michaengelo's Pizza in Cape Carteret. The order was placed and paid for at 8:15PM. After an hour and a half of not getting anything, I called the store. I talked to a young lady who said that my order was with a driver who picked up only part of my order. She said that they would send the other part of my order with a second driver. They said also to call the manager "Bobby" back tomorrow and they would give me a second order for free. Well, 40 mins later- the second driver arrived with the cheese sticks and garlic knots. The ranch I order (and paid extra for) was missing. Here it now is 11:18, I haven't seen the first driver with my pizza yet, and now the store is closed. At this time, I have received only $11.25 of my $28.56 order. I know it was busy with Memorial Day weekend, but this is completely inexcusable. At this point, they have actually stolen money from me. I'm tempted to contact the county's BBB or other authorities, since there was payment up front for a service or product that was never rendered. I am so upset with this level of service. My wife literally risks her and my family’s safety on a daily basis, waits patiently for a hot meal from a local restaurant, and this is how you treat front line...
