I Was actually going to get Chinese food Nextdoor to them, but, I was debating getting a pizza for dinner also and so I decided to try this place. I Walked in and asked the guy for a menu and he showed me where to get one. After a quick rundown of the menu, I decided to get the medium white pizza. Unfortunately, this pizza was not what I was expecting. First off, thereās supposed to be garlic, there was barely any, if any at all and that saddened me, secondly, thereās giant chunks of ricotta cheese ( while thatās fine and normal for this pizza) it was cold even though it came right out the oven, and lastly the flavor was so bland and non-existent and further disappointing. Iām a pizza snob, I could eat pizza everyday and be ok with it. I have two best friends, one is from NY and the other is from Chicago of course and this is not up to standards. However, this pizza to me fell really really short, especially with all the great reviews. This time will be my last as I still have more than half the pizza still. I live 7 minutes away says my gps, how did the pizza get so cold after a 7 minute drive⦠disappointing even more.. If they reach out to me, I may give it one more chance but Iām going to say itās very unlikely and lastly, the rest is getting tossed. Sad. Even had someone else try it just to make sure and they were far...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I moved to North Fort Myers 10 years ago from Long Island, New York and have been looking for a place that served PIZZA. What we found was a lot of places that served what they mistakenly called pizza but was nothing more than flatbread with bland tomato sauce and gobs of cheese. We have a lot of people here from the Midwest and it has become apparent that they influence sellers here to provide what they called pizza in Ohio, Michigan etc. They like it crispy edged with a thick bready crust and lots of cheese. None of these attributes define a New York style pizza. In fact, if a pizza parlor started serving such a pie in the New York area, they would be out of business in short order. A proper New York pizza has, of course, very fresh cheese and tomato sauce . The crust has a puffy edge (not crispy) and is thin and a slice is impossible to pick up with one hand. It is finished with a sprinkle of olive oil and a light dusting of herbs. Joe Daddy's is the only pizza parlor in this area that meets all of those criteria. I was reluctant to try them at first because I was misled too many times by what my Midwest friends...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGlad we gave this pizza place a try! The staff were very friendly and personable. We ordered a large pizza and garlic bread (had cheese one it). After reading some negative reviews, I think people don't realize that brick oven pizza can be an acquired taste. I did add little Himalayan salt to our food when we got home, but it's nice to not get an overly greasy and salty meal. If you're used to pizza places that give that artificial garlic butter full of scary ingredients, their garlic bread will taste bland to you. You can see the fresh garlic chunks and seasoning on this bread so they definitely give you flavor. It was approximately $30 for the pizza and bread we ordered, a little on the pricey side for many, but we were happy to support a small, local business dealing with inflation on their side also. I really enjoyed their sauce and regret not getting extra! Although we got take out, we will definitely try dining in next time. The space appeared to kept well cleaned and maintained for those who find that...
