I walked in for the first time thinking “wow this place looks awesome, everything looks super fresh, I can’t wait to come back even though I’m 30 minutes away I will travel just for this cute little cafe and I can’t WAIT to taste their food.” My experience left me never wanting to come back. Ordered two sandwiches, a smoothie, a lemonade, and some chips for 40 something dollars and left a 20 percent tip before getting our food at the register (something I wouldn’t have done ahead of time had I known) for a total of 50 bucks for a walk in cafe sandwich type place. Now we don’t mind spending 50 bucks on a seat yourself tip ahead of time place (that’s why we researched this place while in the area and decided upon it) but for those prices I’m expecting decent service and great food. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, okay that’s fine. 30 minutes go by and “I think” I see what could be our sandwiches behind the counter and not getting wrapped into bags or what not but I’m not sure. I was going to give it a few minutes before asking because they seemed pretty busy at the time and I wasn’t even sure if they were ours, I saw what looked to be my sandwich but I didn’t know what my boyfriends looked like so I couldn’t say for sure or not if that was his and mine. After about 40 minute I notice the sandwiches are gone so I assume they were another customers and I sit and wait again because they are super busy. Close to an hour later I notice 3-4 groups of customers who came in after me (some even 20 minutes after) getting their food and leaving! At this point I asked about our food and they apologized (she was very nice about it and nothing wrong with that service at all) and said it will be rcoming right out. Came out shortly and my boyfriends breakfast burrito had burnt eggs and tasted reheated and my caprese had that gross sitting there for a while taste as well so we assume maybe it was our food that was ready 45 minutes ago but never called? (I sat in front of the counter the whole time waiting) I took a bite and threw mine out and he ate half before throwing it out of the window of the car. If that was the case for that price I would have rather either waited even longer than the hour and 15 minutes I was already there for new and fresh food or been offered a refund. Pretty upset because the restaurant really really looks like a place that...

My husband and I ordered sandwiches to-go so we could go eat them by the water. I got three bites into my sandwich and bit into two rock-like objects - which turned out to be hard pieces of black plastic. Obviously not what you’d expect from a (fairly pricey) sandwich place. I wasn’t sure if the sandwiches were pre-made so I wanted to call and let them know I found concerning objects in my sandwich to avoid it happening to someone else. We called and spoke to someone who had no idea how to react and passed us to her manager. The manager asked us, “are you sure?”. Yes, there was a rock-like object in my sandwich, I am positive. And ensured me that it was not possible… well… obviously it is possible… She was rude and condescending and asked us to come back to the store with the sandwich. We returned and I gave her my 3/4 sandwich along with the chunk I had to spit out. Her and the chef dug through my spit out sandwich piece to look for the black plastic chunks and said they had no idea where they would have come from. They asked if I wanted another sandwich (no thanks). No apology. It’s one thing to get a non-food object in your sandwich - it another thing to be treated so rudely. We will absolutely not be going back and I would not recommend going for the food OR...

The food is just not great. After multiple visits to try a variety of food options we will not be purchasing food from here again. Its overpriced, bland and sloppy.

The grilled cheese was bland with just american cheese on bread for $8.50, good enough for a kids taste buds, but terrible for an adult meal. Does not come with fries or a side.

The quesadilla was incredibly sloppy and fell apart. They didn't even dice the tomatoes, there were several whole slices of tomato in the quesadilla. The chicken was $4 dollars to add to the quesadilla, it had no seasoning on it. Its $1 extra to add caramelized onion, $1 for peppers and $1 tomatoes, and we didn't find any peppers in the mix. It was the worst quesadilla we've ever had and we paid a total of $17 for it.

The buffalo chicken wrap was average, but does not come with cheese on it and does not come with fries or a side. The wrap also had entire slices of tomatoes on it rather than diced.

The chili did not seem freshly made for the day, looked and tasted like it was reheated from the previous day.

Overall, its terribly overpriced for mediocre food in a cute...

Cute place, nice service. The Surfside smoothie is good. They barely have any vegan options on the menu which is really disappointing especially since they have a lot of ingredients that could make legit vegan sandwiches etc. I ordered the avocado toast and added tomato and it was pretty pathetic. Dinky toast with a few slices of avocado and very not ripe tomatoes. Extremely disappointing in general (my sister and I didn’t even want to eat it) but especially since this is one of the only vegan options on the menu. The wait was long as well especially considering the quality of food we got. Would really like to see more (and better) vegan options (ex: plant based cream cheese for the bagels to name one).

We thought the food and atmosphere of C Salt Gourmet Market was very good. They have gluten-free options to include bread, tortillas, and bagels. They were able to also look into the ingredients of those items to check for other allergens present in our group. Other than making a mistake on our order (which wasn’t a big deal, but still happened) we were only disappointed by how many things they were out of. They were out of GF bread, a smoothie flavor, and a type of sandwich. Lastly, the lobster rolls seemed exorbitantly expensive. Would have loved to have been able to have one.
