Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Carbondale

I ordered multiple hours early (scheduled delivery) using the app for a delivery at 11:30 a.m because I knew I was going to have a busy day. At, 11:53 I hadn't gotten anything and my order said in processessing for delivery so I called the store. At first i was told my order couldn't be found and asked if i ordered for the wrong day and other questions. I had to send the person I was talking to screenshots of my app to show him i did not order wrong. And then it switched from my order not being found to it should have been delivered even though it was still on it's way supposedly according to the app. I was asked if I was in an apartment even though my order had no apt number on it and I said I was at a house. Then I was asked if I was at a duplex. So the person I was on the phone with talked with he driver again and told him it must have been delivered to the wrong place. A few minutes later, from my house, I see a jimmy John's driver go across the street. Thiking my order was being delivered to the wrong area again, I walked outside to let him know. Apparently what was happening was that after my order had been sitting outside at another location for I'm not sure how long it was supposed to be delivered (not ordered) 40 minutes ago at this point), it was just picked up from that location to be delivered to me. Not knowing it any people ( this is a pandemic) or bugs had gotten into it or a thought of if sunlight would be a concern after 40 min outside. I confirmed with the driver that this is what happened and he said his manager told him to find the order and deliver it to me instead of making a new order at that point. At this point, I was cranky and had to get back to work so was not about to wait for another delivery so I asked for a refund. This was a huge mess and the driver made a mistake the first time delivering it to the wrong place , but accidents happen. I even understand it being 40 min late with everything that is going on in the world, but 40 minutes later delivering me an order that was left on someone else's porch after all the trouble and no real condolences? To me...

Definitely my pic over Subway or any other sandwich shops I love the jalapeño chicken wrap. It is amazing.12-4-24 ordered my usual chicken wrap, jalapeño ranch and my fiancé ordered a wrap herself and when she got to her table, they did not cut her wrap in the center so she asked them if they could cut it and they refused and said that we would have to buy another sandwich that we cannot cut it because you opened it we cannot cut it and did not offer to remake the wrap so she went back to her table for about five minutes and nothing came of it so we got up and left and as we were walking, he tried to say that it is a health violation that he cannot cut the wrap because we opened it and that he said sorry that we felt that way so because of this experience, I’m gonna have to give them a two star rating for service because if they can make the sandwich but then can’t cut it after they make a mistake and didn’t offer to try to fix the problem. They definitely need to reevaluate their staff or their service. because again I cannot see them taking a knife, cutting a wrap in half being a health violation that the employees said it would be, and if so, make another sandwich. I'd love to leave less stars, over 2 hours to deliver food and when I called to ask about it all I got was they delivery guy was busy. I asked how much longer as I'd watched my coworkers eat the Jimmy John's they ordered ten minutes before I did and return to work. I was offered money money back, rudely, then told he'd call the driver and cancel my delivery. Then I got a call from the poor overwhelmed delivery guy that my food was delivered, and half of it was... And we got a bunch of stuff we didn't order. I can say the excuse was they were catering a swim meet. And I get they are shorthanded, as we all are, lately. All I wanted was an acknowledgment of the problem and maybe something for my delay, but they person was rude and hung up on me. My husband's lettuce was covered in rust, too....
