My wife and I have been eating at Kings Garden for several years. It is our favorite Chinese Carry Out as well as dine in. First, the most important thing, the food. We have always felt the portions we abundant. Never had an issue with the amount of food we’d received. Depending on the menu selection we found adequate portions of meat and vegetables. As for flavor, right on target. We’ve tried multiple menu items and truly satisfied that they know what they are doing. Spicy when it’s supposed to be spicy, sweet when recipe calls for it. Second, price! What doesn’t cost more today? Unfortunately it cost more for ingredients and it costs more to ship those ingredients. If those costs aren’t passed on to patrons then the restaurant starts losing money and then out of business. We are just a little more careful about our dining dollars and where we spend them. Lastly, proprietors! We always were greeted cordially and received extremely friendly service. The owners put a lot of their own blood sweet and tears into Kings Garden. They were always here cooking themselves and greeting their patrons. I hope they’ve found some time to relax and have fun. Since moving a little further away we tried Chinese restaurants that were closer to us. We have been extremely disappointed and have decided we will travel the extra distance for MUCH...
Read moreJust read a review of this place last night, was craving some generals chicken. Said no thanks after reading that review. The wife wanted to help me find a good place for generals chicken, so, of course, she ordered from this place lol. I didn't know until I started eating and the food was exactly as I'd read in that review last night. Pure dough or filler, about 8pct chicken, the rest is garbage filler and some with burned... Something. General tso chicken fans, you know that really awful generals chicken, where you don't know what you're really eating, and you can barely get those hints of chicken in the bites, and it's completely fried to oblivion on the outside to hide the taste, or lack thereof, of the missing chicken? That's this place. Should be called general's filler. Do NOT order from here. You'd be better off going to a buffet, honestly. Completely disappointed in this and will not order again. PS the last review I read, the owner responded and said it was "mechanical error." well, I think that review was a year ago. So unless the exact same thing happened,...
Read moreThis was my fist time here. I’ve been looking for a Chinese restaurant near me that made great Lo Mein. I was pleasantly greated when I walked in. I wasn’t rushed to place my order and although she was multi-tasking my order was correct and that is what matters to me! I’m a really picky eater and this place was able to WoW me! The Vegetable Lo Mein was excellent! Noodles were Not mushy and the broccoli was perfectly cooked! My only suggestion for improvement would be to add more broccoli. The Crab Rangoon was fantastic! It was crispy and hot with a good amount of filling! I even enjoyed the sauce. The fried biscuits were soft and golden and were NOT overly greasy. My wife ordered the chicken and mushrooms and she was very pleased with her meal. This will definitely be our GO TO Chinese eatery! Great food and good service! Definitely a 5-Star!!! I wish I remembered to take pics. I’ll definitely add a second review with pics! I might actually try...
