Had the best dining experience during our visit to Dallas! As recent transplants from San Jose, CA to Houston, we were looking for a great spot to try, and my mom recommended this place – and WOW, what a treat!
First off, the food was delicious, but let’s talk about the cheese yogurt. It was absolutely AMAZING! I loved it so much, I ended up ordering 12 to go (yes, 12!). And if that wasn’t enough, the owner came out and gifted everyone at the table a free yogurt for dessert. Talk about top-notch customer service!
The owner was super friendly and, to our surprise, turns out he’s also from the Bay Area! He shared that he gained much of his culinary expertise working there, which made the experience feel even more special. The restaurant was only about half full, so they easily accommodated our party of 8, which was a relief. However, it is rather small so it can definitely be a challenge for large parties. The owner acknowledges this and is hoping to expand to a large space if one becomes available.
The only downside was that due to the restaurant’s popularity, several items on the menu weren’t available that day. But honestly, the amazing food and service more than made up for it! Can’t wait to visit again and try more...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but I had to take a moment to rave about Mập Kitchen in Carrollton because of the fantastic experience they gave us.
We visited just two days after the restaurant opened, and even though it was packed, the owners were impressively professional and friendly. While we waited for a table, they generously offered us two delicious yogurts, which left a lasting impression.
We decided to try the family lunch set, one of the few places in the DFW area to offer this kind of menu, and it did not disappoint. The "Canh mang chua ca" and "Ca chien tron xoai" were terrific. The flavors instantly took me back to Vietnam, reminiscent of my mother's cooking. It has that distinct Southern Vietnamese richness and sweetness, and I highly recommend it, especially to foreign visitors. Trust me—you won't have tried anything like this authentic Vietnamese specialty.
To top it off, we were lucky enough to indulge in the cacao lava dessert. The owner generously provided the chocolate sauce, and it was simply divine. We'll be returning to Mập Kitchen and becoming regulars!
P/s: The price is really really cheap at just $15.99 for the whole fish!! We just ordered two items but it made us full for the...
Read moreThe food was good and authentic flavors were all there beef flat noddles with smokey wok hei was the exceptional. Sweet and sour Vietnamese catfish soup was the highlight the broth is slightly thick which is not a complaint but now the Thai birria tacos was not for me, seemed to be just taco not anything that I would call birria which the side of consomme seem to be from one of the other soup dishes. We also ordered the crispy noodles C7 was definitely a great decision to order the only thing is the server may have not known if certain proteins could be removed so she had to go get the chef/owner to see if the dish could be made with just chicken. We also had the water spinach (Morning Glory) sauteed with garlic and the aroma was absolutely enticing and a beef stir fry dish which was alright others with me didn't like the pineapple in it but overall the experience was...
