Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Carthage

update: went today, way worse. You guys, come on. What is happening there. My burger today was cold, I did not wait long for it, soggy bun, wilted lettuce, that got tossed. Fries were warm at best and mostly burnt. Wished I would have looked before she walked off. Ocean water was great, but I think you have to work hard to screw up a drink. I think it was food cooked an hour before serving. I won't be back, good luck to all and I hope it gets better. ( previous review: I'm giving it 3 stars because at one time this Sonic was the only one I would go to. That being said, the past few visits have been awful and the last visit, we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order and then after a 30 minute wait we decided to leave. There were others leaving to and as we drove around we could see the employees inside laughing and talking. So I am not sure what has happened with this Sonic, but by the reviews I have read so far, this is happening quite a bit. I hope they change back to the way they were. I miss Sonic. Still...

I’m very disappointed with the service in Carthage I’m not sure if there is new ownership but service is terrible I spent 25 dollars tonight the girl handed me ice cream pouring out side had to stick it in bag with other food to keep from getting all over me and truck girl had very bad attitude and was mad herself because she had it all over her when she brought it to me which didn’t even apologize for or even bother to get me napkins ..This is the 3rd time once the brought me drink with hole in cup..Food is always cold & nasty ..Most of all the machines are broke ..This was once a place I bragged on but has went downhill poor service with high prices ..I ordered three hamburgers & drinks was 50 bucks we could had actuall went eat somewhere good for that price ..Not sure who new manager or owner is but it’s obvious it’s not the same...

Went to Sonic in Carthage Ms May 27 about 1:15. The girl answered the call, but we could not understand her at all. We placed our order and before it was complete, she interrupted us in saying she could not understand what was said, My husband tried again, same thing happened. I tried to place the order and she was very rude and said she could not understand us. She had no problem understanding the people next to us. The music was so loud is maybe why she couldn't understand us or she was too busy watching one of the employees dancing inside. Needless to say, we drove off and and will probably never go back. This had always been a good Sonic to visit but...
