The doctor was soooo rude. She made me cry when I left. I went in with 2kids a 3yrold and a 5month old. I told her I didn't want to give my 3yr old steroids I just wanted us all to get a shot of antibiotics, (because my 5month old and I were suppose to be better days ago not getting worse. And we were so much worse) and then my 3yr old had green stuff coming out everywhere (so to speak) nose, mouth, chest. It was bad. And mine and 5mon old throat's hurt really bad, my 5month old couldn't nurse without grimacing and I couldn't even take a deep a breath without it burning my throat. It felt like an open wound. And my infant had a 100 degree fever and she was suppose to be all better by now not worse. So anyways I asked for shots all around and said we needed to knock this thing out I couldn't be sick another week, she tried telling me give it a few more days with tylenol...š¤¦š¼āāļø so anyways she then said that green mucus didn't mean an infection lol!! she said maybe he swallowed something green or put a green crayon up his nose?? Wth?? Like I don't know the difference. She said I'll give him steroids but not antibiotics and I said I didn't want to give him a stimulant without trying antibiotics first because he's very sensitive to stimulants and would be out of control She told me "his behavior is your fault ma'am not mine or the medicine I prescribe." I just looked at her with my mouth dropped open in shock that she said that to me. And then she said "I'm not giving the baby shot but she does have an infection I'll give her an oral antibiotic, amoxicillian" and said she would prescribe me an oral antibiotic. And when I told her I would rather just do a shot again she said "I'm the one that went to school to be a doctor. I know what I'm doing." I just sat there I was so worn out and in disbelief I just shut down and went silent and then she said "nevermind you're probably gonna give me a bad survey so I'll just give you a shot and your 3yr old one. But not the baby because she could go into antaphalaxtic shock"š¤¦š¼āāļø and then she said she couldnt give the baby a shot even if she wanted to because she was out of supplies, so my 3yr old and I got a shot and she never even called my infants medicine and when I called the next day she said she finally called them in the next morning because she "was busy with other patients and didnt even get home to her family til 6" and that my 5month old infant with a fever 11 days with on and off fever "would be fine, it was just one more day and she had other patients" julie coleman was her name. If she's there just find another place....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI know people that work in an urgent care or ER hear alot and are over whelmed at times. I believe that if you are going to work in this field you should have and keep an open mind to those who are not frequent pt. That said, be kind. Chances are the majority of people who visit you guys on a Saturday or Sunday are needing a kind word and just relief from an ongoing illness or a abscess tooth, etc. It costs nothing to be kind and remember you work for the patient. If it were not for the patient who unfortunately has to choose wisely where to go due to the ERs history in our area, we chose YOU. I'd gvn 5 stars had they looked us in the eye, showed concern, had not acted as if bothered by our visit, all that was needed was antibiotics. The lady at the front was nice. Just be more concerned about the pt. God bless and my spouse was the pt, she said nothing but good things, I could tell she was feeling a little depressed, down, so I asked , she says you guys are nice. I pushed sheets just wish they'd responded when I was talking. She said she was sure they were tired, Shes sweet loves people so I figure she felt she burdened them. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt wasnāt the wait that was the issue. The issue was the NP assessment. She did introduce herself. However, I was fairly certain my right eardrum had ruptured and knew the left was badly infected. She didnāt look up my nose, throat or even perform a thorough assessment. She looked in my left- this one is infect inner/outer. The right had blood tinged fluid flowing out it at this time. When it ruptured is was bright red blood. This lady doesnāt even stick the ear speculum all the way into my ear canal, gathers a cotton swab. Rolls the cotton swab in the blood-tinged fluid, inspects it. She looks at me and I put this on my life- āI donāt know what this could be!ā Seriouslyā¦. Iām no medical expert but even I knew what it was.
I go to another provider the following morning. The right eardrum in facts has a hole in it and I have to see ENT soon. I wonāt be going there again. I will gladly go to Jackson if I canāt get into another...
