I order from here often, but this most recent experience leaves me very disappointed.
I ordered delivery (on 4/6 around 430), that way I don't have to leave for lunch/dinner and I can just work through it. I get a call from my delivery driver, she says she is downstairs. I told her I would be right down. I'm no crutches, I don't move very fast, so I asked someone else to go down for me. My building has two entrances, but they have two different addresses. So I gave her the address for the lower entrance. Well, when the woman I sent went to get the sandwich, the girl wasn't there. About 5 minutes after my first phone call, the delivery driver calls back saying she's going to have to leave because they are timed. Keep in mind, I haven't received my food yet. I told her we were trying to locate her and what building was she at? She said, with attitude, that she was at the building address I gave her. So I asked if she was next to a flag pole. Again, with attitude, she responds with she's wherever the address I gave her is. It was a simple question that she didn't seem to want to answer. Then the woman I sent said she saw the girl walking to her car, getting ready to leave and called out to her asking her to wait that she was grabbing the sandwich for me. The delivery driver ignored her and continued to get into her car. Two other people joined in trying to get the drivers attention. The girl gets out of her car pissed saying she didn't hear her called, shoves the sandwich at her, then walks back to her car and drives off. I don't care if you're new, if you're an experienced delivery driver, or what. That was uncalled for, unprofessional, and extremely poor customer service. The attitude was uncalled for. We were in no way rude to you, we understand the confusion with the building, we weren't angry with you. There was no reason for the delivery driver to behave in such a manner.
As for the food, they've never gotten my order wrong. The sandwiches are always delicious. The Country Club is my favorite.
The only reason, and I mean only reason, they even got two stars was because their sandwiches have yet to disappoint me. Their customer service on the other hand, at least that from the delivery driver, is horrendous. I do plan on ordering delivery again, I'm just hoping I don't get that person.
EDIT: Within a few hours of me contacting Jimmy Johns through email about the Delivery Driver incident, I received a phone call from the DM. He said he was very upset to hear about my experience and was going to reach out to the store manager and let them know. I appreciate their quick response time with the issue and reaching out to me to...
Read moreI've only been to Jimmy Johns one other time but my trip today may be my last. The food was great but the customer service was not. The guy that rang me up was nice and took my order(sub w/ turkey, bacon, ham, cheese). He said...hmmm that would be a #11 add bacon. I said perfect, paid, and got my sub. Checked it....and no bacon. I went and told the other cashier about the missing bacon, expecting for them to just hand me a piece or two but instead I was asked what kind of sub I ordered. He said the #11 didn't come with bacon. I told him I asked for it though. He then asked for my receipt and said they didn't charge me for it so that's why. Again, I told him I asked for it but didn't get it. After the current cashier asked how to handle the matter with two other employees, he then brings his manager over. After a quick swipe of his override card, he said "that will be $1.88". I said forget it and walked out. In summary, rather than hand me a slice of bacon, JJ's rather lose a customer, get a negative review on a global forum, and have this story retold to local customers on a mistake JJ's made. Remember, it's a lot easier to keep a customer than to...
Read moreI am never pressed about delivery times with Jimmy Johns because it's always great and they do their best to go to their destination in a timely manner. What I am pressed about is that I ordered a cookie with my food and did not receive. I didn't notice at first when I got my food and finished it. I called the store back to see what could be done and I was told it could reflected as a store credit or I could get one added to my next order. That's very unusual. Usually when they forget something, you get your money back or they bring it to you. I honestly would not have written this review if this wasn't the first time they've forgotten something on my order. The first two Vito subs I ordered required no onions because they make me sick and I wanted extra avacado spread. Neither request met. I let it slide because it was the first two times. Third time I ordered, I never got my coke and the driver didn't even apologize. Like I understand we all make mistakes.. but hello?!?! Im flustered with this and I'm afraid to order again because I feel as though my cookie might be left...
