Cilantros Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Casey

We live a block from the restaurant, when they first opened we were so excited. It was amazing for the first few months. Now after this evening and past experiences we will no longer be giving them business. The staff if the #1 issue. Naturally if they know you, they will give you special treatment. Watched a tabled of 5 come in 5 minutes after us. They had their drinks and orders put in all before our waiter even approached us. Then had to wait 20 minutes for ANYBODY to notice we had moved our done plates to the other side of the table to let our waiter know we were done eating. Only for a completely different waiter to come get our table and ask if we needed boxes 10 minutes later. Which we did, I told him and the check as well because our waiter was gone. Never got the check! Ended up with the manger bringing our check, when he noticed we didn't have one but had boxes to go. Never got asked if we needed refills on our drinks, or if our food was good, or even correct. Then as we're leaving and I'm checking out the lady comes to take our plates before we even leave the table completely. So you were watching that we were leaving but not the 20-25 minutes we sat with nothing in front of us trying to get our waiters attention. P.s. waiter was more interested in other tables to even meet eye contact with me or my guest. Never spoke to him after he took our order And walked away, saw him serving almost every other table tho. Felt bad for not leaving any tip but I felt he didn't...

This was my husband and I first time visiting Casey IL area. We were having a wonderful time laughing so we decided to visit Cilantros grill. We entered with smiles on our face and two waiters approached one with a smile the other very mean. So the not nice waiter seated us right at the bathroom door way. We felt this was not a good place to sit and eat but we just stayed and continue to enjoy one another. The waiter was so rude and served us and our food was not right we were not happy about this. So my husband said something the guy said I will change it. I touched my husband hand and said that's okay. I made this statement to my husband because I didn't know what they would have done to the new food they would have made us. The waiter continue to ignore us and be rude. This ruined our food experience in Casey IL. We paid for our food and did not leave a tip. This waiter did not deserve it at all. My husband and I are an interracial couple and I'm staying positive that this was not the reason for the bad treatment. Went on Monday evening with my wife and 19 year old son. The interior of the restaurant is larger than expected from the look outside. It is well decorated in Latin American theme and the booths are quite large. All the entrees and appetizers were very reasonably priced. We ordered the fajitas and were AMAZED at the size of the platters served. You will not leave hungry! There was enough food left over to serve a second meal for each of us. Suggest ordering one meal for 2 people -- it should be plenty of food.

I ordered the Margarita. It was strong, but very refreshing and tasted quite good.

Our server was very attentive to our table. He took care of any/every request (we only had a couple requests), and seemed quite happy to take care of us as his guests. Excellent service.

Overall, the food was excellent, the portions were huge, the price was very reasonable, and the service was terrific. If/when we return to Casey, IL, we will go back to Cilantros Grill & Cantina. It...
