Oriental House — Restaurant in Cassville

I normally only post positive reviews. But I have to post this in hopes that the manager may see this and make a change. We love the food so we eat here often, despite the terrible to-go service. There is never a time that we call that they don't immediately put us on a 'brief' hold. Sometimes it truly is brief. It seems this has just become the norm and they never consider just taking the order instead of doing something else first. I get they are busy and understaffed. However, this is the case no matter when we call or what day of the week. Also, they don't tell us how long the wait time is before they put us on hold. They could at least do this. I have seen they have been hiring for a while, so maybe they are still short staffed. I'd just ask that when possible they treat to-go orders like a priority and not always make the wait to order and pick up the order so long. Can it become the norm to just go ahead and take the order? I've never had another restaurant put me on hold and I'm sure those staff deal with...

Never will I enter your establishment again. Sad. Your service is poor at best. Your cooks don't even know how to make the food on the menu to order. Sad how even when food is known to be bad you still request payment instead of refund knowing it wasn't good for sale. And the difference between cashew and sesame chicken is backwards. Cashew sauce isn't what goes on sesame chicken. I ordered sesame chicken which is made with broth, vinegar, and sometimes sakè. broth and sugar are added at end for sweet not hot taste. But I received cashew sauce which makes it cashew chicken not sesame. But you forcing me to pay for your poor food will NEVER happen again. And your egg drop soup isn't egg drop soup. Floating egg skins and yellowish soup is what people expect not clear soup full of egg chunks and no flavor. Goodness I really don't know how to start this complicated review. Let me start by saying the food is actually pretty decent, order the Lo-Mein you won't be disappointed. Chicken was good too. Now for the worst part, it took over 1 hour to receive food!!! 1 HOUR!! they weren't even packed. So as a family of 4, naturally I can expect to wait a little bit longer to receive food but not a hour! Tables sat dirtied for more than 15-20 minutes and people had to come in and not find a place to sit before tables got cleared! We sat down at the same time another couple sat down (who mind you order the same amount of food as us) and they received their food, finished and paid almost 30 minutes before we got fed. I do not recommend eating here, especially if you'd like a half way decent atmosphere and want to actually eat in a timely manner. All this being said we will be back at some point maybe just for take out but hopefully then I can change...
