Michelle's Sweet Creations — Restaurant in Castleton

I was actually planning on going to the diner next door when I saw this bakery. Popped in and got a cheese danish, and I was blown away.

Excellent flavor, incredible lamination. The butter in particular had me wondering if it was lower in beta carotene and fat, since the buttery flavor was gentle, the dough was firm, and the pastry wasn’t greasy.

I also think the flour composition was atypical from the usual restaurant supply or grocery brands, since it had an excellent structure.

For the filling, I won’t even get started on how much I loved the cheese. Take my word for it, it was amazing. Great flavor, great texture.

Michelle’s Sweet Creations offers an impressive selection of fresh cupcakes — clearly a specialty — but I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of their other pastries, especially the danish-style ones.

Michelle made our wedding cake and cupcakes and she was AMAZING! We were so happy to find a local bakery to make our wedding dessert.
