I visited Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Express for lunch and I was very impressed by the quality and variety of the food. The restaurant has a cozy and colorful decor, with a lot of Thai-inspired elements. The service was friendly and attentive, and the portions were generous.
I ordered the chicken pad thai, which was one of the best I've ever had. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a balanced flavor of sweet, sour, and spicy. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the dish came with a side of bean sprouts, peanuts, and lime. It was a satisfying and delicious meal.
My friend had the fried pork, which was also very tasty. The pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the dipping sauce was tangy and spicy. The dish came with a blue rice, which was a nice touch. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the blue color came from butterfly pea flowers.
For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice, which was a perfect way to end our lunch. The mango was ripe and sweet, and the rice was creamy and sticky. The coconut sauce was rich and flavorful, and the sesame seeds added some crunch.
I would highly recommend Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Express to anyone who loves Thai food or wants to try something new. The restaurant offers a lot of options for different tastes and preferences, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes...
Read moreThe most epic covid deal anywhere has to be the Little Lao Set from Farmhouse Thai Express. It's a beautifully prepped meal set that can feed about 3-4 people that serves up some of Farmhouse Thai's best dishes. Not only is it instagram worthy but it's pretty dang delicious. If you're indecisive and looking for variety, don't hesitate and just order this set, it's worth the price. I generally found all the protein choices delicious, my favorite is probably the fried chicken because it crispy and well seasoned despite waiting an hour to eat it but that beef short rib deserves an honorary mention.
The set is super easy to order online and pickup was fast. I'm honestly impressed by that turnaround time to prepare such an intricate meal. They also have plenty of outdoor dining seating if you're looking to eat there. They have a tropical vibe that I thought was super cute. They also have plenty of other signature dishes that will equally please your stomach and your eye. I do find that they are pricier than most other thai places but the quality and care they put into their dishes are worth the price.
The only downside here might be parking, for pickup it was pretty easy since you can pull over on the curb and just quickly pickup but for dining in, you might have to go around the corner towards residential areas to...
Read moreCOVID pick up & outdoor dining review: ordered online for pick up as food apps upcharge for their services! I've already ordered a couple times at this location and the only complaint I have is the parking sucks. There's a lot of construction going on currently on the main road so expect a lot of back up. You'll also have to park in the residential area which may be a bit of a walk depending on how lucky you get with a spot. Staff are following masking precautions
Outdoor dining: its first come first serve. They made it into a tropical paradise with mini gardens and a water fixture. Menu is accessible through QR code which brings you to their online ordering website. Servers can also just take your order at the table.
Pick up: I love the security stickers they tape to indicate tamper free on their take out! I've ordered their little Lao Set a few times and it never fails to please. Even my very Chinese cuisine only family devoured this platter.
Overall a great addition to my side of the east bay! Can't wait to try everything but for first timers the Little Lao Set is a perfect start to everything this great restaurant...
