I was happy at first, then I really looked at this purchase experience as a whole and I can't say I'll go back. Not sure I should have even tried this place after seeing the previous review with a roach on the togo box but I didn't check here first.
Cons : They add a $1 convenience fee to online ordering. Bake your costs into your products or eat the loss. Don't charge me to use a service you are offering through your own website. Don't pre-pack the lo mein. If you say your employees don't then you aren't watching the kitchen. It's easy to tell it has happened when the noodles are darker and drier on top, wetter and lighter on the bottom and they are stuck together and need to be broken up a bit. It would be great if there were actual Combo's like the East Coast chinese food stores. No jacking around just "I'll take a C12 with white rice and egg drop soup." Drive thru menu does not tell you the mains come with rice/noodles of your choosing as far as I could tell. Perhaps I missed it but I did look. Pictures from older reviews show a completely different drive thru menu look with the information at the top so either I missed it or it was dropped for space reasons. Prices are up everywhere including here. Based on past reviews and pictures a main has risen up to $11.99, includes a filler like rice. Looks like they used to include an Egg Roll and 2 Crab Rangoon for $9.99. The Orange Chicken had literal chunks of oranges in it. That was a first for me. It has always been dried/preserved orange peels that provide an intense orange taste and chilis everywhere else I've had it.
Pros : The Egg Rolls are very heavy on the meat and light on vegetables. I personally prefer the opposite but I think most people like this. The steamed dumplings and side sauce were very good. Sauce was thin and light, not really thick and sweet like some places. The dumplings are probably the same ones used as "gyoza", just not fried. Drive Thru staff were pleasant. Drive Thru...
Read morePreviously they double charged me for drinks instead of giving us a free refill. I complained and stated that this was not stated in the menu or posted somewhere in the restaurant. The manager I spoke with did not seem to care and this added about $6 to our total. She then proceeded to chastise the poor server in front of us and everyone else in the restaurant, other employees and customers a like. She was trying to blame him for not telling us we would be double charged for drinks. He obviously was not aware of any drink policy change either. THAT was totally UNPROFESSIONAL! We doubled the poor server's tip and apologized to him that if we had know she was going to do that to him we would not have complained. From then on, we ordered water, depriving the restaurant of any drink charges. TODAY, I ordered chicken mushroom to go. When I got home the mushroom were uneatable. They looked like they were about 2 weeks past expiration with dark rotten dimples and the underside of the mushrooms was black. Some of the mushrooms were completely black. I am wondering if they are pawning off their rotten produce on "to go" orders thinking we won't realize the horrible condition of the order until we get home and it's too late to do anything about it. About 2 years ago, we ate her at least once a month sometimes more. We hardly ever eat there anymore. We keep giving them another chance now and again because we remember what it was like and hoping that they will return to quality food. Apparently, that is not going to happen. They apparently do not care about quality food products. We will be going elsewhere from now on. No...
Read moreMy dad and I were trying to find a good place to get Asian food for dinner, so we ended up visiting Lin's Express on Potranco for the first time, and our experience was wonderful. Our server was a young man who was very enthusiastic and friendly. Throughout our dinner, he revisited our table a few times to make sure we were doing well, and every time he came and left with the same positivity and kind smile. My dad and I both ordered lemon chicken. The servings are very large, so if you don't have a big appetite I'd suggest sharing with someone or taking any leftovers home. The lemon chicken was fantastic. We had egg rolls, rangoons, and beef pot stickers as well. I loved all three, and my dad loved everything but the egg roll. This was not at all an issue caused by the restaurant, nor did it disturb our joyful experience; It was simply a matter of personal preference. With our lemon chicken, we were offered a special sauce that the chef decided to send us a sample of. I believe it was called "yum-yum sauce," and it was served cold (intentionally). I enjoyed the flavor very much and while I do not particularly prefer my sauces cold, I would recommend that anyone eating at Lin's at least try the sauce. Overall, the food was great and the customer service was absolutely outstanding. Thank you, Lin's Express, for a very...
