This business is promoting an event during a pandemic AND a Statewide order to Shelter in Place!!

When confronted, this was their response:

"We saw your post and message and want to inform you that we have already been in contact with the Sherriffs department regarding our non mandated closure. 1000 palms is an unincorporated part of the county. And hence forth does not need fall under any city mandated closures. However we have taken the necessary precautions and notices at the bar for willing patrons who chose to come to our establishment to abide by the necessary safe distance from others and are only allowing a minimum occupancy inside. We do appreciate and understand your passionate concern for the health and welfare of our community . It was a hard decision to make but we are continuing to support our many employees and entertainment as long as we can, within the reguaktions made by Riverside county if you have any further questions or concern please feel free to reach out to me . I'd be happy to put you mind at ease"

Me an my wife showed up for a pool and karaoke. Pool table was very old and balls always note: "ALWAYS" get stuck every racks. Pool cues were horrible as well. Bartenders were ok. Not very friendly. I place a song for the karaoke gave the song to the karaoke guy personally, good thing I didn't hold my breathe. My song never came. But, the locals I remember were called many times at least 3 rotations while we were there. The good part. The guy at the door. He, should run the place. If the owner read this. Let that guy on the door manage the place. He will know what to do. Very patient he came and patiently opened the Pool table to hand us the balls that were stucked inside the table. With a smile. For the new comers and who enjoys to sings. This place is NOT for you. We are not welcome. Only the regulars are. If you wanna ruin your evening and give it a try....

I chanced on this place from a person I met at a bar downtown DHS. Looks kinda trashy from the outside but don't judge this book by its cover. The best Karaoke experience I've ever had and I do it a lot. A real stage, stage lighting, smoke machines and friggin A, an actual guitar player who looks like Mick Mars playing along if he knows the song and he seemed to know them all! I sang Black Keys, Deep Purple and The Who so right up his alley. Redd was impressed enough that he bought me a shot after I sang The Seeker, never had a DJ buy me a drink! Both the bartenders were super nice and drinks were really inexpensive so this place freaking rocks. Great crowd too, lots of really friendly locals. And also get this, the place has several pool tables, the longest shuffleboard I've ever seen and dog...
