Came here for lunch. We haven't been here for many years. We ordered a Carne asada taco salad and 2 item combination. Everything looked good, but taste was a different story. Chips were served with salsa. Some of the chips were stale. The salsa didn't have any heat and was more like tomato sauce. The combination had a crispy beef taco and the shell tasted like it had been fried in old oil as it had an aftertaste. The chile relleno has that same old oil aftertaste. Beans and rice were very plain. Disappointing. The taco salad was very plain too. Carne asada was tough and had no flavor. Lots of lettuce and tomato, but it would have been nice to have a good salsa to compliment. The shell however was good and didn't have the oily aftertaste. Disappointing. Drinks were alright. Horchata was good. Iced tea tasted old. Service was alright as there were busy talking to a regular customer most of the time. Conclusion: This used to be a great place, but we were very disappointed this time. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.

On my recent visit to Tortillas Restaurant in Cathedral City, I was genuinely impressed by the whole experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a laid-back gathering. The food was fantastic – every dish bursting with fresh, authentic flavors. I particularly loved the pork burrito, which was tender and packed with savory goodness, but the tacos and sopes were also amazing. The service was outstanding, with the staff being friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The margaritas were strong and refreshing, adding to the overall great vibe. If you're in the Palm Springs area and craving traditional Mexican food, I highly recommend giving Tortillas a try. I’ll definitely be back!

An amazing Mexican restaurant that is among the best in the Coachella Valley. We ordered a Molcajete and it was incredibly tasty, full of bacon-wrapped shrimp, grilled chicken, asada steak, mussels, and chorizo (see photo). Service was friendly and prompt with Nancy and Sergio doing a great job with everything. Finally the atmosphere was relaxed, non-pretentious, and culturally-appropriate, which certainly made this place our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Overall a 5/5 star experience.

So I used to come to this place every week for a long time until I moved away so I hadn’t been here for years at least since 2018! Good news, the drinks are still huge and yummy, the salsas are delicious and their jalapeño salsa IS SPICY (it used to be my Wednesday morning “buttmare”, and it still is). I love the lengua (tongue) dishes they make and they’re one of the very few local restaurants to offer it. My wife ordered the Camarones ala Diabla (her favorite Mexican dish) and the review is mixed, there was no diabla sauce, it tasted and looked like enchilada sauce, and it wasn’t even spicy, but they did put a lot of large shrimps in it that were superbly cooked and yummy, so we’ll call that even( and wife won’t order it again but the fajitas the next patron got looked delicious). My dish was platillo de Mexican with Lengua and it was DELICIOUS. Now years ago the service was always slow as they only have one person acting as cashier, server and bar tender and the service was slow then and it IS still slow, I mean when you have take orders for 5 tables, clean dirty tables, checkout patron and make drinks and check on the needs of sitting patrons that’s a lot of work. So show up for drinks, salsa and lengua but not for...

My husband and I love the food here. I haven't tried very many things on the menu, but the things I have tried I have enjoyed. I'm kinda stuck on the one thing. I get the chicken Tortilla soup pretty much everytime. I make some rice and add it. It makes for a hearty meal. Plus I add a little sour cream. All together it is super yummy. My husband will try different things sometimes. He has also enjoyed everything he has tried. We usually get it as take out and the order is right almost everytime. I kinda don't like eating out or take out as much as I use to because I feel like most places cannot get the order right lately and the way cost have gone up I get really annoyed paying so much for something I don't really enjoy. That is another thing about Tortillas I love, they won't break your wallet. I definitely recommend.

So I swear the moment I posted this review things went downhill. I moved it from a four star to a three star. Orders became very inconsistent. Pretty sure under new management and he seems really nice but, when I go somewhere because I really like a certain dish I really need it to be the same dish...
