Maria's Place — Restaurant in Cathlamet

Leaving this for the next innocent person looking at Google reviews trying to make a decision on where to eat. If you're looking for delicious Mexican food, don't come here. The chips brought out were stale. The meat in my asada burrito tasted days old. The beans and rice had no flavor. I couldn't finish it. The lettuce in the taco salad was soggy. There is absolutely no quality control in this restaurant. I don't mind higher prices when I'm paying for a decent meal, but no matter what your paying that shouldn't be what you're receiving. The other reviews are a lie....

This was sadly disappointing, the grossest attempt at Mexican food that I've ever eaten & wildly over priced. I asked for a vegetarian vegetable burritos & chicken burritos to go. When I got home, the vegetarian was actually rice & beans with a little bit of onions, peppers, & mushrooms- the rice & beans were not made separately from the meat ingredients... it literally made us sick from not being vegan & my children couldn't even eat the overpriced chicken burrito that was mostly rice & beans with very little meat ... I wouldn't recommend this place...

Wonderful food and great service. The complimentary chips and salsa are better then any where else because the chips are made homemade and fresh so they are warm and delicious and the salsa is also delicious. I usually go for taco Tuesday and I order the Pastor pork soft tacos. Never before had I enjoyed tacos as much as these. I often order to go on other week nights and food is just as good at home. If you are in the area or even live away from Cathlamet it's worth the drive to go to dinner and experience authentic Mexican food that is...
