We heard about Desert Cave from the Facebook group Cave Creekers. Went up yesterday to try it. It is a very small place so food is take out. I think there were a couple tables outside. We got there before noon but there were people sitting on their truck tailgates eating and also taking food with them. The girl who greeted us was very friendly, and even the chef was chatting with us. Having worked in the restaurant business, I love being able to see the kitchen!! It was very clean and they were busy making food. We ordered rolled tacos, and they did not disappoint! Delish! The guacamole was really good and the salsas were delicious as well. The other, w xtra cheese, loaded with cheddar (cheddar?) and a middling amount of egg, with little pico. It wasn’t bad if you mixed the two together, and scraped off some cheddar. The tortillas were excellent. The red and green “hot sauces” were tasteless mysteries.
Perhaps my experience was an outlier because I used a delivery service. I don’t know. I do know that if the two burritos had any sense of consistency, my review would be different. For the price, you shouldn’t get shortchanged on the main (or any) ingredients

Made me a “Kerry special” which means… he surprised me and I have no clue what all he did to this spectacular chimichanga but it’s the best I have ever had!!!
