Cecil Diner — Restaurant in Cecil

Small hometown diner. Friendly waitress, quick service. My husband and I both had omelets. I had American fries & he had hash browns, and we both had homemade toast. Hot, not warm food, which is awesome and the way it should be! Tasted very good. Typical small hometown diner... 2 older gentlemen sitting at the counter talking about pretty much everything from the weather to fishing to work and how no one wants to work these days and about how they started working at the age of 12 and so much more. The place is very small, and you can't help but hear any conversation going on. My parents had a cottage near The Cotton Patch and we would stop in as a family off and on when I was a kid. My husband and I now have a cottage in the same area (for the past 25 years) and decided to stop for breakfast since it's been awhile that we've been here. Nothing has really changed on the inside or outside since I was a kid and it's just a good ole little hometown diner that serves great home...

Sadly I gave this place a try, the doors should locked for an inspection from the health department.

Waitress was wearing a dingy white crop top. Quite tacky, disgusting and completely inappropriate for a server. Her overly long (dirty underneath) pointy fingernails complimented her outfit.

Unfortunately I didn’t follow my gut instinct to turn around and walk out.

The entire restaurant is falling apart. Ceiling tiles missing, lights don’t work, women’s bathroom has missing floor tiles (most likely asbestos), some creepy random weird closet next to the toilet (had a lock but the lock is busted from the wall).

I was literally concerned about drinking water from the nasty dirt/filth stained cups. Thankfully I didn’t get...

Had breakfast, amazing potato pancakes and strawberry jam!!!! Had all our orders correct and in good time. The facilities have a lot to be desired especially the restrooms but the small greasy diners always come through. Service was amazing. Friendly and there when you need and want them! We all had custom orders and the waitress and cook got it right!!!! Best of all knew what we were talking about when we ordered! People complaining about greasy, you obviously are in the wrong restaurant. This is a small hometown diner that is supposed to be this way. Please move...
