Really yummy ice cream at this cute place. I remember coming here as a child for a special treat. Definitely a family place - good for all ages. They are known for their ice cream, but they also serve food like burgers and fries. As long as you order something on the menu, you will have a good experience. I tried ordering cookie dough with my hot fudge sundae once and they forgot about my order... I had to wait 20 extra minutes for them to make it (not sure why because it wasn't a challenging order at ALL) and during that time, they made it incorrectly with pecans even though I clearly stated "cookie dough" three times. They weren't nice about it either (I think the workers were snobby high school girls), so that was really disappointing. That was the only bad experience I've had here, also the only time I tried ordering something something extra. Pictured: 1 medium sprinkle cone, 1 small sprinkle cone, 1 turtle sundae

Dairy Cove is a cherished annual tradition on my family! Staff is always super nice and the food is tasty. My daughter enjoyed a Muddy Bear Sundae, my son loved a vanilla cone, hubby noshed on a burger and I opted for the Chili Cheese dog. I had ordered it with onion but they forgot them and the line was too long to go back. Still a very yummy treat! I love the big chair, too. A photo of my kids in it every year let's me watch them grow. See you again, DC, even though we now live hours the opposite direction, we will be back!

A must stop headed up north or home after. The ice cream tastes amazing and huge cones are huge. I got a medium and it felt like a quart of soft serve, but that didn't stop me from tackling the whole delicious thing. Can be crowded (because it's great) but the line moves pretty quick (because they are great).

I was in just a few minutes ago and the girls working were absolutely horrible. I've been a customer for about 10 years and only had positive experiences until tonight. When we arrived, the girls at the counter saw us and ignored us. We finally got our orders in after about 5 minutes of standing directly outside the window. There was another customer in line behind us as well. My brother decided he didn't like what he had ordered (no fault of the girls working) but when he went up to the window, the girls once again saw him and ignored him. We decided we were done and only a minute after my brother was done standing at the window waiting to order his food, two teenagers walked up to the window and the girls working immediately opened the window to chat with them. Not to take orders, just to sit around and talk. All of us are very sympathetic to food service workers as we all worked in food service for a very long time, and being that we are all 20 and under, we understand what it's like to be a minor working in food service. But we would never have treated customers like that. I always tip 5$ every time I order from Dairy Cove, which is often. However, these girls got no tip from us and if we go to the Dairy Cove and see that either of these girls are working, we will leave immediately. Very disappointed in...

Dairy Cove is the best ice cream shop this side of the Mississippi. If you haven't stopped here yet, DO IT IMMEDIATELY. Order anything, it will be fantastic. High-five an employee because they are wonderful. Did I mention this place is family owned? Even better.

Throw some bags on their cornhole boards while eating a tray of cheese curds, because those things are BEAUTIFUL (the boards and the cheese curds, duh). Take a seat in their giant chair. Take a gander over to the little farm stand sometimes within walking distance while holding an ice cream cone covered in sprinkles. 5-star summer-in-the-midwest...
