Took my husband out for his birthday- The bar service was ok- bartender was not super friendly. The waitress did not seem to know what exactly she was doing. Took three peoples orders before us and we were there first. When we sat down to to eat- The salad bar was good- fresh vegetables and such. I ordered steak and baked potato my husband ordered Panko dipped walleye. We got our food and I was totally not expecting his walleye to be paper thin. Not even enough to fill you up. The Panko was not even a crust, like they just tossed it over the top. Unsatisfied with that! My meal came with a hard side of baked potato.. I noticed there was a piece of lobster on my plate that I didn’t order and I had already started eating the steak! I had coughed a little because I have asthma so my germs were all over this food! The waitress came back to me and said she gave me the wrong plate! I said well I already started eating this one and coughed on it. She stood there like was going to give her back the food I was already eating. Mind you I don’t care for lobster but here’s the bad part When we asked for a box to go she asked if I was going to keep the lobster or return it! I said what are you going to do with it, she said take it back to the kitchen- she said she can’t let a lobster go out the door! I said you already served me a plate that was not mine to start with, I ate and drank and coughed all over this food and you’re going to take this contaminated food back to the kitchen! She said if I take the lobster home I have to pay for it. Why would I pay for something I didn’t order? You messed up, you figure it out. So I am lead to believe that they took the lobster back to the kitchen and will reserve it to someone else! We will never be back to this establishment and you are pretty lucky I don’t call the health department! I know for a fact that after that food has been placed on the table it is the customers food whether it was their order or not! That food becomes free. Someone needs to retake the food courses. The waitress should not be serving food to customers. Supper discussed by...

Ok, I'll admit, we closed this place two nights in a row! Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff. The first night, Saturday, we just had drinks. The bar was old school, something I love. It wasn't very busy as deep fall is setting in, most of the out of towners are gone. I would also like to say that closing this place meant around 10:00 p.m. This little town closes up early. On Sunday we went back to celebrate a birthday for my brother. Double bubble encouraged me to try (two) whiskey old fashioned sour, that I found to be very tasty. All drinks were 2 4 1. The deal is, when you drink at bar and want to dine in you order with the bartender but then are assigned a table. You cash out bar tab and move into dining room. *Average salad bar available for additional cost. Special all-u-can eat special on Sunday was, of course, broasted chicken (It's a up north Wi thing I think). Hubby had the chicken and I had a combo dinner of chicken and beef. My brother ordered the ribeye special. Food was served family style with bowls of mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, stuffing, cole slaw and cranberries. The broasted chicken was crispy and juicy and the beef was like a stew, falling apart tender in a rich brown gravy with mushrooms. Now lets talk the ribeye... My brother ordered it blackened with fries. It was a beautiful medium rare topped with butter and heavily seasoned. There were options to add saute'd mushrooms and/or blue cheese for additional cost. The bartender, Jeff (?) was very professional and friendly. We also had the opportunity to meet the manager, he too was very friendly, even though I am not my brothers mother! We really enjoyed Washington Inn and will return next time we...

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My husband and I just moved out here from Connecticut. I don't know if it's just completely different here on how services go around here or if it was my husband and i.. whatever it was, we chose this restaurant because we have heard good things about this place.. so we pull up, we were apprehensive about going in because the building didn't look in good condition as it was.. however we went in anyway.. HUGE MISTAKE.. we walk in first every person in the place looked up, and looked at us as if we didn't belong there.. then we wait to be seated and we're not greeted so we sat at a very visible table next to the waitress station.... my husband and i waited for almost 40 minutes on our anniversary to be helped.. mind you there's someone literally 3 tables away playing with silverware and 2 waitresses walking around us but refusing to help us. If there was a step we missed maybe it should be posted weather you go to the bar to have your order taken and seat given or a seat yourself sign posted. Either way my husband and I have been in the restaurant business a long time and have NEVER experienced such trashy disgusting behavior. The atmosphere was hot and dingy, I had Flys landing on me constantly and it smelled weired. My husband and I ended up leaving and going to El Jefe, a WONDERFUL Mexican restaurant about 4 minutes...

First and last time here. Service was OK, no real complaints. Wasn't very busy when we were there 6pm on a Saturday night. 4 adults. 2 had prime rib 2 had prime ribeye. One if the Prune Rib was a very bad cut. Couldn't cut it at all. One of the ribeyes was burnt and the blue cheese we paid extra for was also burnt across the top. The salad bar was fairly fresh. The lobster bisque soup was very salty. The mushrooms we ordered with the steaks were so salty we couldn't eat them. Twice baked potato was hard, so hard a fork would not penetrate it. Baked potatoes were had and dry. Old fashioned. (Double bubble) were nearly clear (not.much brandy) We expressed some of the issues with our server who replied the cook was overwhelmed from the night before and we should come back for the first fry. We didn't ask for a free meal, but it would have went a long way if someone in charge would have stopped at our table and acknowledged what our meals were like. $161 mistake we made.We will never be back.

I ordered the 8 oz prime tenderloin and it was fantastic, came with bacon Mac n cheese which was home made. The salad bar was terrific along with great soup! This is a classic supper club with double drinks during happy hour. Definitely stop in for a great steak! Just stopped again and had the stuffed tenderloin, it was delicious and perfectly done! They now do red potatoes which are great! Everything was terrific, including the old fashions which are 2 fo1 during happy hour, 4 pm to 6pm. Definitely stop into the Washington Inn located in Cecil. Went back on 8/10/22 and had the Liver & Onions, it was terrific! Smothered in onions and bacon! Try it....

Washington Inn Supper club is a classic. It has been here forever and it looks like it from the outside, make sure to go in, its great. As a supper club it has: -Great bar with specials -Large Salad Bar with soup, dips, not just lettuce -Good steak...check -Good fish...yup -Broiled chicken...required -liver on the menu...of course -really friendly service (assuming not 2hour with list) my service was superb -dark amber lighting with white Christmas lights...absolutely. I truly enjoyed my time here. There is plenty of seating but I think I got lucky with my stop and having no wait; I hear this place can get busy. I will be back.
