Casey's — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

I have apply their for work 5 time and was never called and over looked. I spoke with a few other people said the same thing happen to them. I have been going there for years about 6 or 7 years. I use to always sit in there and meet a employee that was always pleasant to the customers and other employees got jealous and startef to try to make it hard for that employee to work there. That employee remain professional and went got a job else where and then told me not to try to get a job there any more. Do to how that employee was treated and how i had been pruposed over looked and talked about. So after years of shopping there sitting in and eatting there because one great employee "Tammy" who i just adore and she never gossip. You see it's alot of gossip and confusion that goes on there and even when customers come in the store. Certain employees rudely butt in on people conversation with other people. And stands right at that counter and sperate slander and gossip about new and old employees and the customers. See i learned and watched minorities get the job maybe about 2 or 3 minorities. They have to hire minorities yet that doesn't mean they are going to keep the job. They had a prejudice person that work that to pick with the minorities to force them not to come back for work or they lie and say they are stealing. That way they can get those hours. One lay gets 190 hours a pay period. And she is one of the ones that keep up alot of mess. One minority been their for years yet it's like that individual have to be in on the mess if she wanted keep that job. The falsely accused one employee of stealing after she refused to work nights because of school. Now every time that ex employee comes in the store they follow that person around and told that person to leave the bags at the counter. This individual has two jobs and go to school. Even when they falsely accused and fired that individual for allegedly stealing. They forgot one important thing. It was pay day they got paid on a card which was use to pay for the stuff. And because that individual void out things because the price was too high they accused that individual of theif which was not true. Not only that i bought a big blue casey cup of ☕ coffee back in the summer and my family was with me. We were in a bit of a rush so i put my coffee creams in a dount bag like i always do. And we got to the register and the lady began to ring it up she charger me for 13 small coffee mate creams which comes with the coffee. See i dont use sugar and she told me because i didn't stand in the store and pour them in my cup she had the right to charger me. She basically stood there and try to make me out tp be a theif. I shop there 7 years and never took any thing because i dont steal. They have slander other employees names and other customers. It's sad and i will be contacting their corp office. Tammy and Jordan is the best thing that happen to that locate. It's a few more ladies that barely be there they must work in other locations that do not get in that gossip. Yet kelly, Tracy , Ms. bee and a few more do not need to be there and or work all at the same time because they get together gossip and lie and pick with PEOPLE. Everybody aint thieves like they making them out to be. They to old to keep up that kind of gossip and following people around the store trying to intimidate them pick at people harrassing them. For now own we will be video recording because this needs to stop. I'm not the only person that see this at lease 5 others people said the same thing. Now i will say this about Ms.Bee she do work, She works her butt off she just need to stay away from those who goes and i seen a bit of jealous from her toward a ex employee whose no longer there. Everything is perfect as usual except one thing at the Mt Vernon Rd location... There is a female employee who for some unknown blasphemous reason seems to be working the register literally every single second of every single day. I have spoken to several other regular customers like myself about her absolutely terrible job performance and awful customer service skills, and apparently word around is everyone is now calling her Mrs. Molasses because she's about slow enough to make a person want to blow their own head off right there at the register. I just don't understand how an employee who is literally this horrible at their job so much so that everyone in town talks about them and has even given them a nickname, is the one employee who is there more than ANYONE else employed there!!! Why give your slowest, laziest, (and with all due respect here) stupidest employee more hours than everyone else, not to mention why on EARTH would you actually want a person like this working every single second the store is open, if they serve NO beneficial purpose to the company and literally do NOTHING as far as anyone is concerned except drive the entire store and all of it's business straight into the dirt?!?! It makes no sense to me or anyone else for that matter, and I suggest if you know what's best for your store, you tell Mrs. Molasses to kick rocks because there are 7 BILLION human beings on this planet who could do that job a thousand times better and more efficient than her. Actually, my 3 year old daughter needs a job, so maybe you'll consider hiring her? I assure you she would do a much better job than the dingbat you got there now. I had a goldfish once that was smarter than this woman... So for the love of everything that actually makes sense in this world... Please... Replace her with someone more capable before you lose the business of, well... Literally the entire population of the city of Cedar Rapids. Makes me wonder what the manager is like, you know? Because it's true what they say... "It takes one to know one." Dear God we can only hope in this case, it doesn't... I mean... I wonder how that interview with Mrs. Molasses even went, you know? And who is this manager who's judgement is clearly ridiculous enough to say to this worthless person "Hey! Your hired!"

At 12:15 am 12/2/24 my Apple Pay was charged $20.61 for an order of two 8 pks of Mountain Dew to be delivered. When I submitted the payment the app gave me a message that said cart was not calculated. I obviously was still charged and payment is showing cleared so Casey’s was paid however the app never showed an order pending or in progress. I called the store at 1661 32nd St NE Cedar Rapids IA 52402 to verify my order and was told that they did not have an order for me and was given the phone number 866-922-0768 to call which prompted me to fill out a form. I am very unhappy with Casey’s and it’s app at this moment as it has out right stolen my money.

An update to this post. Casey’s has not refunded my money stating they cannot find the transaction. I would highly suggest not using their app to place an order as you run the risk of this happening to you. I will also no longer be patronizing Casey’s stores which is a shame as I was a loyal customer who was actively involved in their...
