Chef Wong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

I am traveling and staying at a hotel and wanted something that could be delivered. So we ordered a nice dinner and it was good. BUT..... I was sitting at my computer and went to take a bite out of my fried rice when something shiny caught my eye.... it was a piece of metal kind of like steel wool... I had to throw the rest of our dinner away. When I called to let them know what happened , the apologized and asked what they could do. I told them I would be satisfied if they refunded me but they claimed they couldn't do it because I had just paid with a Credit card and they hadn't received the funds yet. They asked again if there was anything they could do to make it right. Since they can't return my money, I wanted to make them aware of the situation and to make sure to check the fried rice so nobody else would get that.. I am still hungry and now I am let...

I ordered delivery from this restaurant to my hotel, the food was just ok. I ordered dumplings, wonton soup, chicken fried rice, spring rolls and two diet cokes. The dumplings didn't have a lot of flavor unfortunately. The fried rice had an odd off-taste that I couldn't quite place, and no discernable wok hei. The spring rolls were not stuffed very full and came rather greasy. The two diet cokes I ordered didn't come in a can but inexplicably were in paper cups with ice (packed right next to the hot food) which had completely melted by the time I got my order, so it was just two cups of watery mess. It wasn't horrible all told, just enough disappointments that I doubt I'll ever order...

I'll start with the negatives because they were pretty trivial: a little hot inside, saw some flies, my lo mein noodles weren't as flavorful as I wanted them to be, the egg drop soup doesn't have the typical bright yellow color (kinda threw me off at first). The egg drop soup and pork dumplings were both amazing, great flavor and came out nice and hot! The meat in my pork lo mein was delicious, I wanted triple the amount because I was so pleasantly surprised by the taste. My partner and I ended up getting meals to go for lunches this week. This place does a lot more takeout and delivery than dine-in, we will definitely order from here...
