I just wanted a burrito. I wanted to use my money, get the burrito, get the hot sauce they sell (again, with my money), and then leave in peace. Every time I entered, one could tell that every single employee was disgusted that you even walked in to begin with. Scowling at you, not making eye contact, ignoring you for 10 minutes straight when you’re the only person standing in the physical restaurant. The Kirkwood Boulevard location might as well be a prison, I could not tell the difference. In particular, I asked for a refund on a hot sauce I purchased (again, with my own money) because supposedly they had none left. When they said it’s impossible to give a refund, they offered me nothing in return for taking my money. Just said they had to wait for the manager. The manager came in, wrote down “50 percent off” on a dirty receipt after I had waited almost thirty minutes. I came in the next day trying to use that dirty receipt with the same employee who witnessed the event, and they tried to give me less than the 50 percent off that was written. I asked for the full 50 percent, and they immediately lost their patience, started talking bad about me to other employees, and saying that “11am is too early to be dealing with this.” Thought I was going to get shot trying to have them help a customer who was backhanded multiple times by the employees that work there. I don’t mind if people spit in my face, act like I’m a criminal for entering, slanders my family’s name, I just want to pay for my dang American Burrito without being fought by the employees like they are the defenders of corporate Pancheros. Absolute scum service, an earthworm would have given me better service. The employees have no regard for human life, and it shows in their eyes. I would give NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could. Also, I hope this review can’t be tracked back to my home, as I do not want my family dying in a drive by shooting. This Kirkwood Boulevard location made me swear off of Pancheros forever. Maybe, with their hard work and dedication, every single person in Cedar Rapids will swear off of it and Pancheros will never have to deal with a customer again. Godspeed...
Read moreNever going back again. The very first person we dealt with looked like she was ready to scream at anyone and everyone, she didn't try to smile and didn't even try to make any kind on eye contact, just looked extremely unhappy that we were inconveniencing her.
When it came to what we wanted in our burritos, they gave such minuscule amounts that it was both laughable and insulting. I asked for cheese and they literally gave a pinch of shredded cheese, the way you might put a pinch of salt on something, they continued to do the same when I asked for green sauce, sour cream, and hot sauce. I was afraid to even speak up and ask for more because I was sure they'd just try and charge me $1.80 for extra anything (on top of the fact that there wasn't a smiling face in the group of 4 workers.)
It felt so uninviting that while we'd planned on eating there, we sat for two bites of burrito and then agreed that we felt like we were being an inconvenience for even sitting at a table so we just got up and left.
One of the worst experiences I've had in a long time, and I almost never write bad reviews because I don't like to, but this is worth warning other...
Read moreI will never go to any Pancheros again. I walked into the Kirkwood Blvd location it smelt a little funny to me but I brushed it off. The employees were also screaming and cussing at the beginning of the assembly line, which was rude. When I got home with our food, my husband took out our food and asked if something smelt a little smoky. I smelt my burrito bowl and it had scent of cigarettes. l was very hesitant to take a bite of my bowl but was hungry, so I took a small bite and instantly spit it out. It tasted exactly like a cigarette was dipped into it and was inedible. I wanted to give them another chance from having an off experience the last time we have panch at another location, but this unacceptable and i just wasted $30. I’ve tried to call and complain before about another bad experience about a year ago but the teen on the phone told me the manager wasn’t in and that they don’t do refunds and hung up, so I’m not even going to try. When emailing cooperate, they responded and made an excuse saying when the beans are over cooked, it can give that scent and taste....
