1/5/22 The customer service was fantastic! As I mentioned previously, this location almost always has fantastic customer service. Today was indeed one of them! I walked in today around 7:30pm & the employees working were extremely attentive, they made sure pick up orders were taken care of to not make them wait in line, very pleasant to have conversation with, & were very efficient working together. The duo had very good synergy together taking orders & keeping the line moving while having pleasant conversation with each customer. As a follow up from my previous review of one star about a month ago. My experience today certainly gave good merit to improve my experience. Great work!
12/8/21 I truly hate to leave this review because I love this subway location and always have fantastic customer service.... Except today (around 2:30pm). I've never seen this employee before today and we live down the street but I've NEVER felt someone try so hard to give poor customer service quite like this. I first walk in and I notice an employee sweeping behind the counter. So I politely walk up and wait for a bit for him to finish. I can tell he noticed me standing there as his body faced my direction a few times but the sweeping still continued for another minute or so longer before leaving to then go to the back room. He then comes back out from the back room and continues to sweep. After a few more moments another employee came out from the back and pointed out my presence (as if he was not aware). He has now decided to finally put the broom down after his intense sweeping.. and just stand facing me still yet to say a word. I take that as my cue to start ordering I guess. As I'm explaining my order, I start to notice the employees odor. I don't normally notice such things too much but this one in particular was quite foul. After my order is given, the employee then starts flatting the bread with his hands (gloves on), I thought it was a bit odd, never seen it before but whatever I guess. The employee then shows how much he cares to make this sandwich by frisbee tossing the pepperoni and salami slices from a foot away into the bread. All while composing his extremely annoyed demeanor. We then work our way to the veggies and add ons for the sandwich. I don't mind having to repeat myself not a big deal at all but this was an extreme amount. On one end, he is seemingly getting annoyed that I'm not listing the items fast enough and waiting for me to list more at once while at the same time repeatedly forgetting the items and asking me to repeat them. I'm sorry but I'm not going to give you three items in a row if you continue to forget them and have me repeat them. While this is going on, he's also going back and forth to the register (for whatever reason) and clicking buttons on it in between putting veggies on. I mean why would you not just finish making the sandwich and putting all the on items before going to the register. As you can guess, doing so made it harder for him to remember the items I listed for each sandwich as well.. Now we have finally worked our way to the register and I find myself still waiting for my drink cup. I asked for that or mentioned a need for a drink at least twice before he decided to then engage with another new customer behind me. As he started to listen to the customer order and get more bread I mentioned the cup for the third time. Hoping to eventually get out of here and then he can get to his next customer. He walks over maintaining his extremely annoyed demeanor, let's out a loud sigh, and then firmly plops the cup on the table... Gee sorry for being such an inconvenience for you and making you get me the cup I ordered after asking for a third time. I can't say I've EVER experienced customer service quite like this before but it truly did seem almost as if he was trying to put in as little effort as possible. I truly love going to this subway and hate for employees such as this to ruin other people's experience as well as the reputation of this...
Read moreI went to the kirkwood subway location on 9/15/21 around 7:30pm. I got a footlong. Ate the first half that night and was saving the other half for the lunch the next day. I took a couple bites the next day of my sandwich and there was HAIR in my sandwich! I called the location right away when I saw the hair. I asked for the manager/ supervisor. I told the female that picked up the phone my experience with my subway sandwich. She immediately laughed and said âthat does happenâ. She continued to claim that the food industry has been going through a really hard time right now and they having been having a lot of complaints about this. I find it VERY disrespectful for manager/ supervisor to laugh at a customers experience ESPECIALLY when it wasnât a good one. I told her the time, total of my food, and that there were 3 males working that night. IF YOUR HAIR IS LONGER THAN THE HAT PROVIDED WHY ARE YOU NOT WEARING A HAIR NET OR PULLING YOUR HAIR BACK INTO THE HAT. This was my go to location. I will not be returning. I did not even get an apology for what happened just laughed in my ear and excuses and claims from others and kept interrupting me when I was talking. She just assumed I wanted free food. And I definitely did not there was just hair in my sandwich. DONâT ASSUME THINGS ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS. TAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS SERIOUSLY! MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS FEEL HEARD WHEN THEY EXPRESS SOMETHING TO YOU. I love subway. This makes me not want to go to any location since this is how they treat there customers. - sincerely a VERY...
Read morePulled up to the location to see one employee on her phone. The chairs were atop the tables and another employee had what appeared to be a mop in her hand. Walked in and the employees ran into the back. Figured theyâd be out to take our orders in a couple minutes. Not long after we walked in, more customers walked in and asked if we had been helped. MINUTES passed and the girls did not come up. One worker made an appearance through the opening to the back, but did not address us at all. After she disappeared and we waited, again, the other customer walked along the counter to peer to the back. I then said âHELLO??â Really loudly. The other customer asked if anyone was working. Again, more time passed and finally one of the girls walked to the front and said - rudely- that âthe lobby was closedâ .. to which we said, âhuh?â And she replied âthe lobby is closed. Weâre about to mop this all down. Weâre having maintenance issuesâ ???? Very rude. It was as if they were trying to hide in the back until we left verses addresses whatever âissueâ that was going on. The OPEN sign was on outside too, mind you. My husband attempted to contact the owner but he...
