Disgusting. Not sure how this place has so many good reviews. Unsanitary food handling and food preparation. The person cooking doesn’t wear gloves at all. Touches raw food, then cooked food, then touches door handles, and then touches your toast, all without washing his hands. Our server wiped her nose and grabbed our plates without washing her hands as well. Server did not smile once and tried justifying why our toast was burnt.. if you can’t cook toast that’s a huge red flag. Toast is store bought, hash browns are frozen and store bought. Corned beef hash was raw. And eggs were not cooked thoroughly. They were out of everything on their menu besides breakfast and they couldn’t even cook that. Place was extremely outdated and cob webs hanging from the ceiling. Surprised if they last much longer. Spoke to the health department about their unsanitary conditions, this place should not be there much longer. Huge...
Read moreIf you're looking for a good old fashioned hearty breakfast with great service, you should go here. My girlfriend and I were looking for a local place to get breakfast and she found Sue's Kountry Kitchen nearby. After reading a couple positive reviews, we decided to give it a shot. We were both glad we did. The restaurant has lots of character and feels like a step back into the past. We were greeted with friendly service and coffee less than a minute after sitting down. I ordered a Denver omelette, she ordered the southwest skillet, and we shared an order of biscuits and gravy. My omelette was great, with perfectly sautéed veggies and homemade rye bread on the side. I'm not a big fan of bread, but this was really good. The biscuits and gravy were equally as good and we both left feeling full and happy to have a new place to go to on a regular basis. I highly recommend...
Read moreYou know it's a good sign it's gonna be a great diner when the waitress fills your coffee before you even sit down! And the coffee was really good for that matter. Not your typical diner junk, for sure. I also really enjoyed the diverse mugs they had on all the tables. From that to the decor to the staff, this little place is just brimming with charm.
But you can't run a successful diner on pizzazz, alone! What about the food and service? Everything about the food was delicious from the homemade toast to the crispy potatoes and perfectly cooked eggs. And I don't mind waiting for really good food but we really didn't have to wait. The food came out fast and our coffees were continually refilled.
I'll definitely be back again, that's...
