Lola's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Cedarville Township

Ok....I have no words on this place but let's try....1st they closed at 8 they had an open sign on so we stopped to see when they closed. We were not going to stay when we found out they closed 40 mins prior to us arriving. They insisted we stay. Let's start with the salsa. It was not spicy. It was the best salsa I have had in a long time. The chips were homemade and fresh. Not stale. Brad got the fijata with steak chicken and shrimp (bradin stole the shrimp and yelled mmmm really loud lmao) there was a perfect mix of meat and veggies compared to other places that load up the veggies with no meat. He also got the bacon wrapped Shrimp. If you ask one of the owners he will proudly tell you it was his ideas. Bently loved it and he hates seafood. Let's move on to Mary's Taco salad. I did not get a pic of it sorry but it came out in a freshly made tortilla bowl. It was loaded. If you get this and you walk away hungry, you didn't eat it all. Now mine I got the Papi Burrito. It came out AMF OMG. The beef in the burrito had amazing taste. You could it was not taken out of a bag and dumped in a warmer. This was fresh made from scratch. The little salad complimented it perfectly. I don't eat Mexican rice I don't like it but I sure as hell will eat this places rice. It was soft and fluffy. It was not hard and dry. A taco is generally a taco bit this taco is hands down the best one I have had in a long time. If we want mexican food we will no longer be eating it in Springfield we will travel to Cedarville to...

Lola's Mexican Restaurant (right across the street from us!) is proud to announce a NEW "Keto-Friendly" dish.

You've been trying to shake off those extra quarantine pounds by exercising and pledging to "cut back' on carbs, right? You LOVE Mexican, but the chips, Tortillas, rice & beans scare you to death, Right?

Enter Lola's. KETO MEXICAN FOOD? Yes!

KETO FAJITA and KETO FAJITA DELUXE. A delicious symphony of favorite flavor combinations. Chicken, beef, pork or shrimp. I opted for a Deluxe version blending grilled chicken and shrimp. Served on a freshly-made toasted CHEESE (yes, CHEESE!) tortilla placed upon a bed of tasty vegetables (grilled green peppers, chopped onions, tomato) garnished with Jalapeno slices (perfect amount of heat!) and drizzled with their superb "secret" Chipotle sauce. Try it with a side of guacamole. Bye-bye carb overload!

This dish even gets my daughter Michelle Zaharek's highest food rating - and SHE dines at L.A.s finest Mexican restaurants. Think of the airfare you'll save - IF you could even fly there...

We were on the bike trail and I smelled tacos. I couldn't see the restaurant right away so I asked a kind fellow that was walking down the street. He pointed to Lola's and it could've smacked me in the face. When we pulled up we saw a couple of other AVENTON e-bikes that were awesome and not locked up. So I decided to leave ours unlocked and tried to get a seat that gave me a good view of the bikes. The guy I asked for the seat told me it wasn't necessary to see the bikes because they won't get stolen. No thieves in Cedarville I guess. That gave me a really nice feeling of security. The food we ordered came to us pretty darn fast. This is the first place that I've had great tacos in a long long time. The meat was delicious with just enough spice and the hard shells were thin and crispy just like I like them. Everywhere else that sells tacos gives you stale shells! Not this place! Everything is fresh and delicious. Everyone that works in this establishment is extremely kind and genuinely friendly and helpful. Five stars well worth it. The bike ride was great too! Those trails are like brand new and...
