Lovely cafe, nice atmosphere... my first experience made me want to make this a regular stop, as I visit my family in Celina weekly. Itās a long drive home and I need to make the most of my time, so I generally look for a nice place with WiFi to have lunch or coffee, where I can accomplish pressing work items. Itās wonderful to find a place like Hazelnut Coffee Company where I can relax and enjoy my time while I do so. Letās face it, Cafes and WiFi have long been synonymous! Unfortunately, during my second visit the internet connection was lost and no solution was found while I was there. Things happen... and they are beyond our control šš A week later I stopped in again. After I bought a latte and pastry, and set myself up for a little work, I discovered they still had no WiFi š My mistake... apparently I should have inquired first, then taken my $ down the street. An hour wasted, with no concern by staff or management... I realized that this was why they still had no internet! Clearly it wasnāt a priority. Also, you canāt pass half and half off as heavy cream, so if youāre out just say so! (Or educate staff in the difference?) Still hope they can work things out...I think itās the best cafe in town. Iāll try again when they get it together... I hope I will be able to update my review toward...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is honestly always hit or miss for me. Sometimes itās really good and sometimes itās terrible (both drinks and pastries) . The drive through is always extremely slow. There is parking but when the drive through is busy it gets a little chaotic. I go there quite often and sometimes the workers seem a little rude or annoyed at having to take another order or make another drink etc. The inside is cute, what you expect from a small coffee shop. Although, most things there are very overpriced and it just always takes a long time. I will not stop there to get coffee unless I know I have at least 20-30 minutes, and thatās usually for 2 - 3 drinks only (Iāve never been to a coffee shop that takes that long to make a single drink) The thing that throws me off is all the religious and god stuff, itās a coffee shop? Not a church? It honestly makes me so uncomfortable. Iāve even heard the workers being biased to hiring people unless they go to church, believe in god, etc. super weird. Not one to hate on religion but thatās not something you bring or incorporate into your business, very very strange. Otherwise the coffee is just okay occasionally, very overpriced though. I just make my coffee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had originally rated this place higher, but upon returning several times afterwards, I have decided to edit my review. I recently visited and I ordered the sappy maple frappe, one of the seasonal fall drinks. The description of the drink says that it has espresso in it. When the drink was made, it was made with cold brew, not espresso. When I asked the girl who took my order about it, I was told that they make it with cold brew, not espresso...well then, don't write espresso on the drink description. It tasted like a big cup of sugared milk, not much taste at all.
On another visit I ordered a different drink called Indian Summer, it too was made incorrectly and did not include the items listed on the drink card, no whipped cream or caramel on top (like the one I had had previously). Why the inconsistency?
The first time I visited this place, I enjoyed it...but the three times since, no. I will not be going back...."three strikes, and...
