JK Donuts — Restaurant in Celina

I’ve been going to this place about 2 years now, and figured it was about time to write a review. I started coming here when I was pregnant and addicted to donuts; now, I bring my toddler. Lots of the reviews are old, and let’s be honest, most people are inclined to give a review if they have a bad experience - So let me tell you about my many wonderful, recent experiences here! 1.) They’ve never been out of donut holes when I stop by - and they have a variety (glazed, chocolate sprinkles, etc). 2.) This is one of the only places I’ve found that has the old-fashioned BLUEBERRY sour-cream donuts - and, boy, are they delicious! Their selection is amazing and very reasonably priced; everything I’ve tried has been great, from the donuts to the kolaches and breakfast pastries (the sausage fold-ups are awesome, too, especially for the kiddos). AND, they have a wonderful selection of kid donuts, like Spiderman and superheroes, unicorns, and simple cute sprinkles. They have the good-to-grow character juices, too, and plenty of drinks to choose from! 3.) Possibly the most important thing to me, and the main reason I decided to sit down and type this review - JK Donuts has the sweetest, most welcoming staff, hands down. I’m always greeted with a friendly smile and I never feel rushed. I genuinely enjoy stopping by here, and each staff member I meet working at the front has been so pleasant. I don’t feel like they want me to hurry up, pick what I want, and leave! In addition to the awesome donuts, this is a huge reason why I drive extra miles to come here rather than the shop right by my house. This is a nice neighborhood style donut shop that we tried this morning. They had a selection of donut styles and flavors and we grabbed a dozen to bring home. Their prices were literally written on the wall (I saw someone claimed they paid $14 for a dozen small donuts and unless somethings changed with pricing I’m calling BS LOL), prices seemed in line with other shops and when we got them home they were so rich we’re definitely going to have leftovers all weekend. This is at the front of a large neighborhood so hopefully they can stay in business a long time because it definitely brings convenience close to home. Thanks, and...

Stopped in before 9 this morning. Very small selection. Second time I’ve came and zero donut holes. Also, the young lady got my order incorrect. She also, couldn’t count back my change correctly. Lastly, the coffee cups are so cheap and thin. I will not be returning. Celina needs a better donut shop! Thank goodness...
