Mr. Taco shares space with a gas station convenience store - so that may initially put you off a bit. But looks can be deceiving and this is by far my favorite of the many local taco spots that seem to be springing up. I happened to go on Taco Tuesday so $2 tacos (vs the $2.50 usual price). I was there a bit early for lunch, but maybe because of that all my food was fresh off the stove. I ordered an asada (beef), pollo (chicken), and marinated pork (forgot the name). Simple options for topping (cilantro and onions - yes to both) and a choice of green or red salsa on the side. They also have burritos, salads, combo plates, and other items that I'll have to try later. Service was very friendly and you can order ahead if you don't wan to wait. There were a few people that came in after me so it can likely get busy at peak times. The tacos were delicious and the green sauce I chose had a bit of kick to it but was great. The pork didn't really need it as it was spiced well. Overall looking forward to returning and trying out more of the food.

I normally avoid restaurants attached to gas stations, but figured I’d give this one a try due to the positive reviews. I got the Mr. Taco plate that comes with three tacos and rice and beans. I got the Al pastor, steak and carnitas. They were all delicious, the Al pastor was my favorite as the meat had the best flavor. They have two hot sauce options a mild green sauce and a hot red sauce. The red sauce was spicy. I like spicy and it had a good flavor. The green sauce was not spicy, but also had good flavor. I also got an horchata that tasted great. The beans were good, the rice was ok. My only complaint is price that it cost 15 dollars for all of that. I guess in 2024 that’s a normal lunch price, but I found myself still a little hungry after eating it all so would have liked to have gotten more food for that price. The restaurant is attached to a gas station convenience store so just keep that in mind in terms of the overall vibe and environment. Overall I’d come again. The tacos were great.

I'm always on the lookout for Mexican food restaurants in SE Aurora. It always seems like you have to travel far to get that authentic taste, and the ones that are in the area or relatively close, I've been to several times. I didn't even know Mr. Taco existed, I happened to stumble upon them during a Google search, the next day I gave them a shot and was pretty impressed. Bacon breakfast burrito (they don't add cheese, you have to ask for it) and it comes with beans on the inside, which was a welcomed surprise. Bacon, potatoes, green chili, eggs, cheese, and a fresh tortilla? YES PLEASE! The team working that day was super friendly, the food was good and without question a place I would come back to to try a breakfast burrito and other things on their menu! Great job team!

Went yesterday for chili cheese fries. Guy that was working the counter was really rude and scoffed at me when he had to re make the order without sour cream(I was not aware that sour cream was on the fries, and I also should not have to assume). Asked for refund and he proceeded to argue back and forth with me about how it is good to eat it with sour cream and he didn't want to waste food. Maybe he was having a bad day.. they are normally nice when I go on weekend mornings for breakfast burritos... But I am big on restaurants earning your money, tips, etc as a paying customer and do expect good customer service no matter how good the food is. Customer service is so important, especially post covid from both the customer and the business. I tried being nice and even left it alone once he agreed to remake the food, but that man was definitely out of line for his reaction to having to remake the food to both me and my sister. I don't eat out a lot, and am very picky where I spend my money when I do and bad customer service can be a deal breaker. Hopefully it serves as a learning experience for them but I will no longer...
