I'm disabled and I had a very bad week with my air conditioning being out I had to sleep in the floor on a mattress to get a little air conditioning from the hall with the fan on me my dog and a cat and the cat belonged to my best friend who just passed away on the 3rd on my son's birthday so it hasn't been a good week for me. I felt I needed a break and I have never been to this restaurant before and I walked with a walker from 50 down there and I went and I had a hamburger and onion rings which is the best I've ever had here ❣️ There was a couple sitting across from me and I admired them because I'm old and I've been through quite a lot lately I lost my husband 3 years ago we were married on Valentine's Day. The gentleman got up and came over and told me to have a nice evening and I thanked him and told him to do the same and they left. Well after they left I was informed that he paid for my dinner. I haven't met very many kind people that do the things that I do because I do that I help people no matter what my struggles are I'll find a way 🙏❣️ I cried that someone could be so kind to me 🙏😁❤️ this made my day I probably could have walked 100 miles that day with my walker just because I haven't been so happy in so long and no one has made me feel that good other than my family but I don't get to see them very often and when I do it's very short moments. I wish I could thank the gentleman and his companion in person but I'll hardly ever go out anywhere. It's hard when you get old. It's hard when people don't have time for you but I bless that man n her that was the sweetest thing anyone has done for me for a long long time. I saw a friend recommend this place on FB and it looked interesting.

Walking in I liked the vibe. The decor and the old historical Building are really cool.

The place wasn’t busy at all. Kinda too dead for a Saturday night really.

The wife and I both ordered the filet. The steak was so good. The flavor was great. No fat and cooked to perfection. Legit one of the best steaks I’ve had.

We ordered the spicy cheese curds which came in a plastic tray like you would find at a cheap pizza place. The baked Potato came with barely any toppings and a side PACKET of sour cream.. yes a packet.. with a $36 dollar steak ..

They really need to make a few minor changes so have a really great thing going.

We wanted to check out the building as the little paper on the table documenting the buildings history suggests. Nope.. upstairs bar is closed. Waitress told us they can’t keep it busy enough.

Loved the historic building for sure. And that steak. I want another so bad. Unfortunately we don’t spend $130 dollars on dinner too often. Also the whole experience was a little too quick.. at Jeff Rubys we go and have expensive meals but we are there for 2 hours .. from beginning to end here it was under 40 min. Some may like that. I was on a rare date with the wife and could use the extra time.

I have been to j Miller's many times. It's hit or miss. But this latest visit was an absolute devastating experience. Try to make reservations for 22 people for Christmas party two weeks before. Was told they do not take reservations. I walked in two hours before 22 people were going to walk in to let them know to give them a heads up! Noticed they had two tables with numbers on the table. Two tables were reserved. I asked the manager why she had reservations when she told us we could not have them. Her excuse was we don't normally take reservations. I proceeded to let her know that I had 22 people coming in. I am willing to work with you oh, you tell me a good time but it's not going to be 9:30. She told me 8:15. This was at 5. I told her I would be there at 8 oh, she proceeded to tell me we'll just all have to wait in the lobby. Very rude! I think if they have a no reservation policy oh, they need to change it for parties of 10 or more. The solution to this problem would be charged $100 deposit non-refundable. It would be applied to the dinners. That way the establishment has the staff oh, and if that's a no-show they keep the hundred dollars. The 22 people that I had coming we're all from the west side of town Cincinnati. I feel it's hard to keep a business running in these small communities and you need the outside community to help sustain small business. I am not sure that I will ever try J Miller steakhouse again.
