I can’t say Enough about Stanley’s my wife and I on a whim decided to grab some quick takeout from there because we were in the area so I called It in over the phone and picked it up in about 20 minutes I vaguely remember eating there with my parents when I was a kid I remember the greasy brown paper bags and a good taste of the food but honestly it’s been 20 years or so since I’ve ate there ! I’m in a different line of work now also but I will say this previously I was in the food industry business for about 25 years I was not a five star Michelin chef by any means but I know a little bit of what I’m talking about when it comes to food and I will save us I was blown away !!! The food was amazing the service was amazing even though it was just take out the girl was super courteous I had to double cheeseburgers french fries and a fried pickles that my wife ordered OMG those are dangerous I could eat those things three times a day seven days a week millions of people that I have to live in the gym lol 😂 The brown bags had a little grease coming through if I remember but not overpowering at all actually perfect also we were eating on the run so the next day I had a burger leftover in my fridge and was feeling hungry so I decided just to snack on it while it was cold it was still moist and delicious not dried out at all and super flavorful I give this place on a rating from one to five stars 55 stars ⭐️!!! I say this to the owners and workers keep up the fantastic work because through these changing times we’re going through as a People Stanley’s still being there serving delicious down to earth food at great prices is a true testament that there are still good people out there willing to work hard and put out a great product I take my head off to the owners of the staff to Cook’s the dishwasher is the waitresses everybody that is involved with Stanley’s...
Read moreThe Stanley burger with a pickle and caramelized onions was awesome. With a pickle and caramelized onions was the best burger you will find And the French fries were out this world, homemade cut and great with salt and vinegar on them.
Price for 2 people was cheap. They even let us split a large fry. We walked in and even though there was a sign saying wait to be seated, the cook told us to sit anywhere we wanted. There is a long counter with stools and booths. If you're by yourself they don't want you taking a booth seat. This is because it's kind of small.
You may have to wait for a seat on a busy day or night. Parking is horrible with a small fenced parking area but it only holds about 8 cars including a handicap space. You don't want to park across the street at Sparkys because he'll throw eggs at your car. He's bad.
There is a municipal parking lot around the corner but that can be crowded too. No on street parking available. Anyway, it was a great experience. I...
Read moreGreat place we found randomly while in PVD for an afternoon while my son played airsoft at Battleground Z. It's in a neighborhood with, uh "character" but we never felt like we were in any kind of "danger" etc. From the outside, it looks old school for sure, like this place has been here, seen the neighborhood change time and time again, but kept going strong.
Once inside, it's a small eatery but surprisingly nice. A mix of classic/nostalgic old with tasteful updates of new. Comfortable and relatively clean. The server was very nice and patient with people new to what was obviously a known "locals" place. Food came up quickly, hot and we'll prepared. I've been to "nostalgia" places that brought the bland nostalgic flavor with them from the 50's, 60's, 70's or whatever. (See Shady Glen in Manchester CT.) This was not one of those places.
Definitely worth a stop if you are...
