Christy Lou's — Restaurant in Central

We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant which was surprising based on the reviews left. We placed our order. Service was very quick but I didn't feel like it was terribly warm.

Drink options are coke, diet coke, sprite, root beer and lemonade at the fountain with the option to get a bottled drink.

The shrimp we ordered had almost no breading. The fried fish breading was chewy, like the fish had been steamed inside a bread pocket and was poorly seasoned.

The onion Rings are not made in house and are not seasoned.

The mozzarella sticks are also cheap and store bought, not even the seasoned sysco brand sold at fast food chains.

The hamburger patties were a little dry and tasted like they were store bought as well.

The French fries were also bought and not made in house but despite not being seasoned they were delightful, we just added salt.

The ketchup on the table is for sure catsup and is sweet and unpleasant.

We threw away a good portion of the food.

All told the food was about 80 bucks for 4 people which is astronomical but likely results from nothing being made in house.

The owner is a joke. He himself prepared and served me rotten shrimp on a wrap. (I'm sure it wasn't intentional) So I take the 1st bite and immediately gag and spit it in a napkin. So i go set it on the counter nicely and tell his daughter that it's rotten. He's mad calling me a liar saying they're not rotten. Well I've a owned a seafood shop and eat shrimp very regular. So when I tell you shrimp are rotten that's what they are. It wasn't like I ate a whole wrap and then said something to get it for free. I ate 1 fry and took 1 bite. And I just wanted a refund bc now I'm not hungry bc i just bit into rotten shrimp. . We've ate there plenty of times and had no problems but the way he handled it just lost him 6 regulars and will be more after I tell everyone ik about how he treats people. I would had went back bc stuff happens. Then he goes to tell me " He's not the one" lol All bc i said I'm not a damn liar. He said i was cussing him. But i never lost my temper bc its a place of bussiness and had elderly people in there and i have respect for others. But feel free to reach out Mr. Tough guy and we can see...

Food: Run of the mill burger and fry. Burger meat itself had no seasoning but was cooked just right. The po boy bread was fresh, soft to the touch and delicious. The condiments, while not the freshest I've had, weren't bad. Fries were frozen and straight from a bag.

Improvements: Season with some salt and pepper at the very least (both sides). Cut your own potatoes, sit them in freezer over night and fry them in tallo fat.

Service: The staff was attentive and rung my order up quickly.

Improvements: The drink machine wasn't on, while not a big deal to me, first impressions are everything to others and people are quick to judge. I'd also call out the last four digits of the receipt number instead of a name, some are hard of hearing or have the same/similar name.

Atmosphere: Nothing much to say here. I was comfortable in my seat and the temperature was just right. The astectics...
