Waffle House — Restaurant in Louisiana

My friend Karen and I went to have lunch Friday February 17, 2023 at Waffle House in Watson, LA. I have been to numerous Waffle House locations over the years and we were treated worse than I have ever been treated anywhere. We sat there for 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the staff. We finally were given menus after 20 minutes. Karen had to take a work call while we waited, which took about 5 minutes. After 30 minutes, 2 guys walked in and sat behind us. They were helped immediately and our waitress started to take their order. Karen asked if someone was going to take our order since these guys had just walked in and we had been waiting for 30 minutes. The waitress rudely stated that she didn't take our order because Karen had been on the phone. Once again, this was a five minute call and I had not been on the phone. When the waitress said this, the manager just stood watching and never said anything. She had just been standing there and staring at us since we had walked in. We felt like it was a racial thing against us since the only white girl that was working that day was the only one that talked to us. She unfortunately was not our waitress. The other 2 employees were black and the manager was a black lady. After the waitress rudely told us that she was not taking our order since Karen was on the phone, she took the guys orders that came in 30 minutes after us ( and they were on the phone, as well). I stood up and asked Karen if she wanted to go somewhere else. She said that she really wanted to eat since we were hungry. I just said that we could go somewhere else. Once again, the manager just stood there while her employee was rude to us, refused to take our order and did not ask if there was anything we needed. So, if i could give a restaurant a zero, i would. They are getting a 1 since that is as low as i can go. This place is racist against white people, the restaurant was dirty and the tables were all nasty. I had to wipe it with a napkin just so i could sit and not get food on me. Don't go here, if you want to get served, and if you don't dare to answer an important phone call. I will NEVER go to this location...

So I usually go in the mornings and we have a good time- however tonight we were feeling for some breakfast for dinner. We walked in and a lady named Abby told us to sit wherever and we did. We waited 8ish minutes to get a drink order and got them quick-… and then the waiting happened. We already knew what we wanted and just waited for Abby to take our order, however 20 mins in waiting, we noticed the people that came second to us got served first, no biggie we thought we’ll be next- wrong. 10 (maybe more) minutes pass and Abby comes to our table (after waiting about 30-40 min for a food order), apologizes, and we were nonchalant and just placed our orders. We wait another added 20 mins- which is a reasonable food making waffle house wait time. We got our order and already off the bat i noticed a bit of egg in the bowl i ordered that i requested no egg for. Luckily i’m not that picky and just plucked it off. As i ate my bowl and my bf ate his food, we were still waiting for the waffle to his all star meal. We wait 15 mins and we had enough, so i just went to the register and asked for the receipt and waffle to-go. She seemed annoyed with me even though I been nonchalant with this, and i just wanted to go home. We paid for it, and as we waited- we overhear the staff said something about a waffle being burnt- and Abby, says she’ll serve that to us and be done with our order- not caring if its severely burnt, but i think the manager told her no. So Abby prep up another and was kinda throwing around our late waffle order - getting more annoyed by having to fix her problem. We got our food and finally left by 9:05pm (we got in around 7:49pm). Everyone else there seem chill, that manager seem cool and got everyone in a flow there,...

I went to the location in Watson on hwy 16 and nobody acknowledged me at all while I was waiting to place an order. I waited close to 10 minutes as I saw the person nearest to me at the counter go to a table of people who walked in after me to take their order. (They smiled and greeted them when they came into the establishment) I asked who was the manager and the cook said it was her. She never came to see what I wanted. I walked out of the establishment. It was approximately 20 people in the restaurant, all were white except one black man who was sitting near the register. He looked like he was in the sunken place. I got bad vibes when I came to this location in the past, but my love of Waffle House food brought me back. It’s not worth the nasty treatment that I received. They were extremely rude!!! I will never go to this location again! They all need to be fired. Corporate office need to install cameras. I wish that they could see how racist and unprofessional those people were to me on 6/22/23 at approximately 10:20PM. They don’t deserve any stars, but I had to put something in there for...
