I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Lee's Asian Fusion, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. From the moment I entered the establishment, I knew I was in for a less-than-pleasant dining experience.
Firstly, the excessive use of oil in their dishes was simply overwhelming. Nearly every dish I ordered was drenched in an unhealthy amount of oil, leaving a greasy film on the plate and making the food incredibly heavy and unpleasant to eat. It was disheartening to see how careless the chefs were with their cooking methods, as it detracted from the overall quality of the meal.
To make matters worse, the food was incredibly fatty. It seemed like every bite I took was filled with chewy, unappetizing pieces of fat that made me question the freshness of the ingredients. The lack of attention to detail and disregard for quality was evident in each dish I tried.
Additionally, the taste of the food was downright rotten in some cases. It was evident that the ingredients used were of subpar quality or perhaps not stored properly. The flavors were bland and lacked the authenticity I would expect from a reputable Chinese food restaurant. It was truly disheartening to realize that the meal I was eagerly anticipating turned out to be a waste of time and money.
Furthermore, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. The tables were sticky, and the general atmosphere felt unkempt and unhygienic. It was a far cry from the comfortable and clean environment I had hoped for.
Given the excessive oil, fatty food, and overall taste of rottenness, I cannot in good conscience recommend Lee's Asian Fusion. The lack of quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness made it a deeply unsatisfying dining experience. I sincerely hope that the restaurant management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to restore...
Read moreI wish I have pictures to share with you. If I go again in the future, I will have to update my post.
I am an Asian American who moved to the United States at the age of 1. I am also someone who’s had family and family members that have opened restaurants. I know the difference between American Chinese food and then the more authentic stuff. Lee’s is the first place that I have been able to find “home cooking” like my grandma’s or mom’s in Denham Springs/Baton Rouge.
The food here is absolutely chef’s kiss. It’s so fresh and always made to order. The flavors are intense and complicated but still somehow balances so well in your palate. It is the only place I will go if I want Chinese food. My favorites appetizers are their wontons in chili oil, chicken on a stick (omg these are soooo flavorful and juicy), scallion pancakes, summer rolls, and their hot and sour soup. Other than our own (old) restaurant’s hot and sour soup, theirs is the only one I love. It’s hot (spicy) AND sour which a lot of other Chinese restaurants lack in either dept. My go to entree EVERY SINGLE TIME is their twice cooked pork with either steamed rice or shrimp fried rice. Their Dan Dan noodles is also chefs kiss. But honestly anything I have tried there has been delicious, even their American Chinese dish like sesame chicken or sweet and sour chicken.
If you’re ever in the area, you 100% have to give it try. Michelle and her family are wonderful! You would also be supporting a locally owned business! You 100000% will...
Read moreFirst visit was pretty good, second one not so much. Got some kind of spicy chicken dish, which was just little pieces of fried chicken mixed in with a ton of dry peppers. It tasted OK, but the peppers were a bigger part of the meal than the chicken, so the whole thing was just dry and hard to eat. First time there I got the General Tso, which was better than the other "spicy chicken" dish I got, but it wasn't any better than any other place I've had that.
Service was OK the first time, terrible the last time, although the management came out and apologized at the end. Short of getting up to grab someone, we could NOT get the attention of any of the staff when we didn't have everything we were supposed to with the meal. Usually in a restaurant they come by and ask if everything came out OK after the food was delivered. On this occasion, we couldn't even get anybody's attention to tell them it wasn't. They never looked in our direction, and it wasn't even very busy by this time (more empty seats than full).
We had a table of seven, and the time between the first person's food coming out and the last was at LEAST 15 minutes. They brought out one, then another every few minutes. Never seen anything like it. I think they blamed it on having new cooks or something. Really disappointed. Manager/owner seemed like a really nice person. I'll probably give them another try at some point, but I'm...
