Hibachi Sushi Supreme Buffet — Restaurant in Champion Township

Visited 6/5/24. While getting my food at the buffet I noticed a huge long black wavy hair in one of the food items. This hair was a foot long! I pointed this out immediately to a young guy that works there in the kitchen that was filling another item standing nearby. He looked at the hair, looked back at me, grabbed the tongs and used those to fish around in the food until he extracted the hair out, dropped the hair with food stuck on it, and then replaced the tongs back into the food and walked away. As he was walking away back into the kitchen area he looked back at me and started, I do believe, cussing at me or about me to someone in the kitchen in chinese. I was so grossed out by this that I told others who had just walked in, who were dressed in military uniforms, about it and they turned around and walked out. I will NEVER EVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN! Makes me wonder what they are doing in the kitchen area that we can't see if they will blatantly do this in front of a customer? I mean they had this older chinese lady sitting at a table out in the customers with a huge box of green beans spilled out onto the table and she was snapping them. I guess I could look past that and I could look past the tore up broke down old seats or how chocolate pudding was in everything on the small salad bar (that was almost empty), the bad music playing loudly, and ok service, but this? And also makes me wonder of those times after eating there when you are up sick all night or the next day, why? I think I know why now. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone...

Not the least bit impressed. I can only imagine that those others leaving recent good review of how they have been coming here for years, must just have never been to other buffets for comparison.

The name of the place is “hibachi sushi” and they do not even have a hibachi station. I don’t mean that they have a station just not in use at the moment, they don’t even have one. For the other part of the name there was a tiny selection of basic sushi. Picture crab stick and cream cheese, no actual seafood.

Which left me with the buffet. I had the egg roll, hot and sour soup, seafood delight, general Tso chicken, honey chicken, and lo mein noodles. All were lukewarm, questionable consistently (couldn’t even palate the crabstick in the “seafood delight”), and practically tasteless. Only good thing was the (cold) Chinese donuts.

Did I get full for a reasonable price? Yes. Will I be back? No.

Oh, almost forgot. While I was there the staff was cleaning a case of green beans. Dumped out in a pile on a table by the cashier stand. Going back and forth from cleaning beans to the cash register. Now I’m no expert but that can’t possibly meet health dept standards...

I'm not real sure how this place has the rating it does! This was by far the worst Buffet we have ever ate! Everything was old & nasty looking the food that they did bring out new they didnt bring out much of. The mac n cheese looked like water logged 3 day old noodles with yellow sauce. They never asked our children's ages yet we get our bill & were charged for 3 adults & 2 kids when it was 2 adults & 3 kids. So thinking it was a mistake I go to question it. I ask why I was charged this she asks how old my kids are 3,9 & 11. She tells me that over 10 is an adult I said where? She very rudely pushes everything off the menu & smacks her hand down on the top where it does say over 10 is an adult! No where else does it say this so if you are going in to the Buffet how are u to know when it's not listed anywhere! I told her well no one ever asked my kids ages so how can u charge me that anyways & she tells me that they just guess! Seriously! The absolute worst customer service I've encountered in a long time.
