I give this review 1 star for this 1 visit. My wife and I went in for dinner on 6/13/25 and asked the waitress if the burgers were frozen or fresh meat. She said they were fresh and handmade. So we ordered 2 burgers and they were bad and definitely frozen. The owner came over and apologized and said that they are frozen patties and that the waitress was new and should of known that. The owner said he was going to take off the burgers which we appreciated. We went to pay our bill of $7 and change. The cashier pulled up our bill at first for $49.78 which included the burgers and then she saw the burgers taken off and it came to $7 and change. We looked on our bank statement and we were charged the $49.78. We called the restaurant and they asked if we had a receipt to prove this and would not rectify the situation I would recommend using cash when you pay especially if you have any problems with the food. We love the breakfast there, my daughter and i were there on 6/14/25 for an early fathers day breakfast and paid cash for it. When my wife called them about the wrong charge they said we saw your husband and daughter came in Saturday morning we explained she paid cash and they said that was the charge of 49.78. Poor business management all it would of taken is to go back to that Friday's receipts to figure out there mistake. We will not be back and suggest no one use credit cards or debt. Response to reply: We did not order anything after we returned our food we went to pay and left. No chicken wrap .We did follow up with Trish and she told us the charge was credited back .That same week it was back on...

My wife and I stopped by the newly opened Three Rivers Cafe in Channahon for lunch. For an appetizer, we had a cheese quesadilla. For our main dishes, my wife had the chicken salad crescent and I had the Reuben sandwich. Each came with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The restaurant dining area is rectangular in shape. There are three rows of tables. When we first arrived, we were greeted, and seated in the center row, near the back, directly under one of the music speakers. The music was obnoxiously loud. Loud to the degree thaty wife and I couldn't talk to each other without raising our voices. The food was reasonably good. Not great, just reasonably good. The service was good. The prices were reasonable. As we were leaving after our meal, I noticed that the music level was noticably lower as we walked toward the front of the restaurant. In looking at the ceiling, I saw that there was a music speaker over each of two tables in the center row (one of which had been ours). There were no other music speakers over the tables in the two outer rows of seats. Despite the food and service being good, the obnoxiously loud music is a deal breaker. While paying our bill, I pointed out our loud music concern to the employee taking our payment. If we go back in a few months, it will be, in part, to see if the restaurant owners have corrected this obvious flaw. Otherwise, there are plenty of other excellent cafes in Channahon and the surrounding...

I have heard such nice compliments about this place and wanted to try it. I ordered over the phone, the background noise was so loud, it took two people to get the order. I ordered just two sandwiches, a BLT and a Ham Egg Cheese Croissant to go. I didn't want or anything with it as we were driving. I repeated, sandwich only. First, the BLT was the worst I have ever had. The bacon was in black charred crumbles and tasted like they scraped the burnt residue from the grill. Not one piece looked like a strip of bacon. The second sandwich was ok, according to my husband. Next, when I went to pay for these two sandwiches, I was shocked that they charged me $26.58. For two little sandwiches??? I asked and she told me that it's the full price, even if I don't want the soup, salad, fries, hash browns, etc. I should not have been charged for two full lunches.

Totally unacceptable. I will be sure to tell my neighbors and my husband's poker group about this. I felt like we were totally taken advantage of. Never going there again. If management is interested in this, see order #3006 on...

We were greeted as soon as we walked in, only one table was occupied, when we left it had filled in with more hungry customers. I had the Denver omelet and my husband had the Irish skillet, and we chose the cubed potatoes. Everything from the time we walked in to our meal as well as the atmosphere was outstanding. And you can’t beat the price for a typical breakfast. Will definitely be back to try their lunch menu.

3 Rivers Cafe is a hidden gem. It's quaint atmosphere is matched by the happy-go-lucky feeling you get while interacting with the servers. The food to price point is spot on, and now that I've been here twice with exemplary service, this will be my regular go to, especially breakfast. I even had leftovers to take home.
