⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taco Bell on Washington Street - A Culinary Fiesta by the Capitol
Nestled within walking distance of the majestic West Virginia State Capitol, the Taco Bell on Washington Street is an absolute gem. It offers more than just a meal; it delivers an experience that bridges the historical journey of Mexican-inspired cuisine with the vibrant, fast-paced charm of modern dining.
Let’s start with the service—impeccable. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm smile and a cheerful “Welcome to Taco Bell!” The staff here is swift, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. Despite the steady stream of fellow Capitol visitors, my order was ready in record time. Bravo to the team for maintaining both speed and accuracy!
Now, the food—oh, the food. Mexican cuisine has a storied history in America, dating back to the 19th century when its bold flavors and rich traditions captivated diners across the Southwest. Taco Bell has expertly translated this legacy into a menu that is both innovative and comforting. I indulged in the Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme, a marvel of culinary creativity. The crunchy shell, made from iconic Nacho Cheese Doritos, is a stroke of genius. With every bite, the seasoned beef, fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, tangy sour cream, and zesty cheese combine to create a symphony of flavors that’s nothing short of euphoric.
And let’s not forget the drink: a Mountain Dew Baja Blast. One sip of this tropical masterpiece and I was transported to the sun-kissed beaches of Baja, Mexico. The citrusy, refreshing sweetness perfectly complemented the savory tacos, making me feel as though I was sipping a breeze from the Pacific coast. It's not just a beverage; it’s an adventure in a cup.
The atmosphere at this location is also worth mentioning. It’s clean, brightly lit, and welcoming, with a contemporary design that balances energy and comfort. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch between meetings or lingering to enjoy your meal, it’s a space that invites you to relax and savor the moment.
In short, this Taco Bell isn’t just a fast-food restaurant; it’s a celebration of flavor, service, and culture. If you’re near the Capitol and craving something extraordinary, do yourself a favor and stop by. Five stars, all...
Read moreWe frequent this location often (1x week at least) and overall it’s a good location. The service is quick and the staff are usually pretty nice. The food as with all fast food establishments is hit or miss. It’s not uncommon to get one good and one badly made menu item if ordering more than one. I miss the meximelts, and often order a cheese roll up add beef. The last couple times I have barley gotten any filling. When ordering extra sauces on items I usually get what would be deemed the bare normal amount. Due to this we have started ordering sides of the sauces; they’re sometimes cheaper and you get significantly more. Another example pictured is the potato soft taco. We ordered light lettuce, extra sauce and cheese. As you can see there is barley any of either and plenty of lettuce. This seems to be rather normal for Taco...
Read moreI went through the drive thru and placed my order, a number 4 with a tea. Get to the window and pay and get my drink handed to me and wait, was asked what my order was, and I told them, and apparently they either had a drive off or they gave my order to someone else not sure but they seemed really confused about it. Finally received my order and left. This is the second time I have had a bad experience with this place. The other time was when my order total was $14.21 and I gave them 50.21 at the window and they gave me 35.79 back and it took me 10 minutes to explain to both drive thru worker and the manager that instead of 0.79 I was supposed to have a dollar 🤦 I know it's hard to get employees to work but when this place first opened I never had...
