The Empty Glass — Restaurant in Charleston

I wish I could give a five-star review but I can’t. The bartender really ruined my experience. I haven’t been able to go out with my brother and sister together in a long time and we also went to see my uncle perform there. My brother, sister, and I waited for a few minutes to order food while the bartender had a casual conversation with another customer. As someone who works in customer service I always try my very best to cut a conversation short or come back to it after taking someone’s order but she did not seem inclined to do that. As soon as she walked over to us she immediately asked to see all three of our ID’s in a rude manner. She made it seem like she just did not want to be bothered with us in the slightest. I spent over $36 on mediocre food. Fine. I am also pregnant and obviously cannot order a drink but my brother and sister could. I wanted them to have a good time and maybe have a cocktail or two but they were so disappointed with the service that they did not buy a drink. We only had water and Sprite. The main thing that we were there for was to visit with my uncle and watch his show and to have a good time with family. She just truly made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great time on my visit to empty class. Moved from Hollywood, FL to Melbourne last November and had not yet visited you're little tavern.. Some neighbors moved here, as well. So, it was off to the beach for us. I chose the glass mainly because I saw it first and we thought it looked like a cute neighborhood bar. We sat at a high 4-top and waited for our server. And waited and waited. She was the bartender(THE CUTIE WITH DA BOOTAY) and worked alone. The locals around the bar appeared to be well taken care of and having a good time. We got our Margarita and sweet tea about a half hour later, after going to the bar to get them. We got our "mediocre meal" about 40 minutes later. When I inquired about the food's location after about 20 minutes, I was told, in a very curt tone, that "He's alone back there you know". I certainly didn't know he was alone and frankly, the person doing scheduling should have been informed of this. Not me. Her salad was okay and my quesadilla was fair, but limited. She finally had to go to the bar to get the check and pay it. I assure you, Uncle and pa may be back if that cutie is...

First time there and it was disappointing to say the least. The bands were good and the sound is decent, but the place is a dump. When I got there I thought it was closed becuase the building looks abandoned on the outside. It doesn't get much better inside. The only good thing they offer is a lot of bigger name acts, which is why I went. I can't comment on the food or drinks because I didn't trust eating or drinking anything there. To the owners...With all the problems in your venue, it's obvious you don't care, but can you send $5 and get a new door handle for the bathroom, it won't even shut?
