My husband and I are huge fans of REAL frozen custard so we had high hopes for this place. Sadly, we were disappointed. First of all they had run out of vanilla just before we ordered and that's what we came to try. So by default we tried the chocolate. This was no different than any other frozen soft-serve ice cream and very mediocre at best. In our opinion, this is not real custard. It wasn't dense or creamy like it should be. (The best we've ever had is East Coast Custard in Cleveland, OH) Even the environment in the store did not come close to matching the description on the website. This might be a great place for people who have never had real frozen custard and don't know any better but it wasn't for us. We'll have to keep driving up to Culver's in N. Chas for the only real frozen...

Stopped in for a cold treat on a hot day with my wife and two kids. I got the Hawaiian Luâau, my wife got the cookies and cream âWhitserâ (basically a concrete or a blizzard), my daughters split a chocolate custard with rainbow sprinkles.
There was only one young woman working when we went but she was polite and got our order out quickly. The store was clean and had plenty of seating.

The second ingredient being milk is fine, but you know right away you've bought a mediocre ice cream when actual cream takes a back seat. Whit's not only does this but also uses corn syrup, another sign of a substandard ice cream/custard product. This would still be fine if their prices reflected that quality but they don't. Their custard is way overpriced for what it is. It's not bad but it's definitely...
