We had a late lunch around 2 PM at Market Street Café. For the price, the food was quite good. I ordered a small Italian hoagie (8 inches), but it was so big I could barely finish half and ended up taking the rest home. My husband had the oysters and really enjoyed them. The waitstaff was friendly and welcoming, but it seemed like the kitchen got backed up, which led to a long wait for our food. What should have been a quick, casual lunch turned into a two-hour meal. While the food was satisfying, the delay was a bit frustrating. If they could speed up service, it would be a great spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Would I return? Yes. I’m not sure why they were so busy at that time of day, but there were a lot of people although we were still able to get a table without waiting.

Walking in, the place is small with a "local" feel. Our waitress was amazing, friendly and attentive. Many menu options, leaving it hard to choose. The tuna appetizer was tasty, cooked perfectly and the seaweed salad served along side was delicious as well. We both decided on the filet mignon, which came with two sides. Our daughter chose a salad with a burger. One of the steak was over cooked from how it was ordered. However, I find it hard to have a bacon wrapped steak and being able to cook it perfectly. The meat was super tender even with being slightly over cooked. The veggies had great favor and they gave quite a bit. Our daughter loved the burger, kids menu is definitely one of the best choices I've seen. I can't wait to go again and try other dishes.

First time dining in last Sat night, had done takeout several times. It was very crowded and noisy, but once the wait staff greeted us, we were seated and served promptly. Service was amazing given how busy they were. Food was fast, delicious, and ample portion sizes. "BEST fried oysters ever!" exclaimed my friend. The crab cakes were large and no fillers. I think they have the BEST FRIES I've ever tasted! Highly recommend and will definitely be back. 😍😋👏

One more place I believe we will not return to, I pay for good food and good service, take either away, and it is no longer a place I prefer to spend my money and time at!! Not very friendly or customer oriented! The wife and I had already had a disappointing food ordering experience, figured we would give this place shot to order something to eat there and additional food for six folks ( would have been at least $80-90 order plus approximately 10% on a carry out order ). We walked in the door which is a bar section and no employees except for the bar person is to be seen, finally one of the old guys sitting at the bar says pick a table, so we picked the second table away from the door ( Six chairs ), first table had 2 but right next to door. After a few a girl comes over and asked if we are waiting on anyone else, answered “no”. I let know that most of the order will be to go, she says she’ll be back with menus, after about 10-15 minutes a guy returns and asks to move ( so if? they have a group come in that needed a larger table, even though they had others larger tables ) to the smaller table by the door with people going in/out and cold air coming in. Stated we would not sit by the cold door. So second ordering disappoint...

The Market Street Café had great reviews and I was excited to go this past Sunday June 18, 2023. We sat down and immediately ordered drinks and an appetizer. When the waitress brought our drinks, she took our entree order. Fast forward an hour and a half and still no appetizer. We called the waitress over numerous times during this period and when she wasn’t avoiding us she said “the food is on its way up”. We watched all the other tables that had come in after us get their food but still no food for us. The appetizer finally came out but no entrees. I had my four year old and my elderly father all waiting to eat and to celebrate father’s day. After two hours, we called the waitress over again and she said “3 or 4 tickets weren’t submitted to the kitchen” even after her telling us that she had checked on our food and that the food was coming up soon. We paid for our drinks and appetizer and left without eating. I would highly NOT recommend...
