Don't expect Hoodrats to be competent anything. And that includes taking orders. She didn't even take the order! DoorDash did all the heavy lifting. With that being said, how complicated was it to put the paid-for-in-advance item on a shelf for the Dasher to pick up? That's a task a toddler can complete. Having someone else READ OUT LOUD what to put in a bag???
I wouldn't order from here unless you are able to physically travel to the location visibly inspect your order for accuracy. They're hiring Chicks with no decorum for how to do business. That's why Chicken King has a business in the hood and she doesn't. That's why she's HIRED and not doing the HIRING. So, those that actually do the hiring earn the blemish. Your employees have noting to loose by disrespecting your customers and Dashers who deliver your food to them.
But, I digress. Yes, DoorDash will issue a credit. That is, if you order from DoorDash enough for that to be a way to settle trifling, ghetto, ratchet, servers who get belligerent after they acknowledge the error.
I'm sorry but a Dasher should not have to drive all the way back across town using their gas money, because a server admittedly did not complete the order accurately. Only in a hoodrat's psyche does the world work like that. I could take the position that I gave the Dasher a $15 tip so he should have gone back to get the items. Based on the location he would have traveled--his entire tip would have been spend on gas, for a mistake that he did not make.
This was after the server first admitted that she did not put the items with the order, then suggested I have the Dasher come back to pick the items up. Unbeknownst to her, the when that was not an option, because it was her fault, she then she became verbally combative like the Hood Rat behind the register she is.
Because the mindset is the same. Humans are imperfect. We make mistakes. However, when someone admits they made a mistake(in her case incompetence) and then expect to further inconvenience other people, is a snapshot into how that individual's mind really works. Moreover, it's a sign of someone who wants to avoid accountability at all costs--including other people's expense.
To my knowledge Chicken King is owned and operated by immigrants. Whenever I have gone to the Nation's Ford Chicken King there was no one there that was a Native American other than the Servers and the DoorDashers. The server was an immigrant with limited English.
I communicated with him through the Google translator just fine. As I am explaining to her, "I have the Dasher here with me right now, what is the course of action to get reimbursed because I have already paid for the menu items"? If she used the wit' it took to make a comment about his limited English to actually doing her job effectively--this review isn't left on a public platform. His limited English isn't something he could control. Her nasty, gutter disposition on the other hand, she is 100% in control off. I found her comments about his inability to speak fluent English, highly offensive as a black woman. But wanna be the first ones to holler racism. You can't be racist towards other people and then complain when you're disrespected or treated with a blatant disregard because of your speech or something else you have no control over.
With that being said Chicken King--if you want to allow Hood Rats to ruin the ratings of your business, have at it. To tolerate customers being spoken to disrespectfully and the the Dashers berated because of their limited English is not ok
I will never order from another Chicken King. Not ever. The whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. And that's not want I spent $60 bucks with the hopes of. I wanted to enjoy my meal with my cousin. I lost my...
Read moreThis was my first time trying this place out after driving by it several times for a couple of months. Upon entering, I noticed it was empty. I asked myself, "Where are the customers?" That concerned me a little bit, but not enough to cause me to turn around and walk out.
I also noticed it wasn't the cleanest place, but that doesn't mean the food isn't good. I'm not sure if it's because the restaurant's been there for years and it's just aged, but it didn't appear clean. Where there was carpet, it was worn and matted. The bathroom was totally disgusting and looked and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned since my mother was in elementary school, and she's now 78 years old.
The young lady who took my order was very pleasant and engaging. I enjoyed speaking with her about the menu items. She was very honest about certain things when it came to how different items tasted that I inquired about, and I appreciated her for that. I wound up ordering the fried whiting and double collard greens for my two sides. I didn't have to wait long, of course, because nobody else was in there. While I was waiting for my food, only three people came in for takeout.
I arrived home and started diving into the food. The collard greens were bland and obviously out of a can. I had to doctor them up with some seasonings and vinegar. The supposed to be "chicken wings" (wing dings) wasn't seasoned like I'm used to chicken being seasoned. It was too bland. The hush puppies were disgusting, but the french fries were good. The fried whiting was, to my surprise, flavorful. I enjoyed that. The fried shrimp was savory as well, and I enjoyed that. They were on the small side, but good nonetheless. The only thing is the food wasn't good enough for me ever to want to return, so it's a NOT...
Read moreLeft this location feeling pretty irritated. I placed an order online to pickup at the drive thru still left a $3 tip. Was patient for the wait, pull up to the window and the girl at the drive thru asked to see the receipt on my phone. The quickest thing that I could get to was the text order confirmation and I told her exactly what the order was, but that wasn't good enough. I pull up their website and show her that (she barely glanced at it). She hands me the food and I politely remind her of the drink that comes with the salad and she regretfully handed it to me. I pull over after driving away and check my food and there was no dressing for my salad (the one it came with or the extra that I paid for). So I back up and pull back up to the window. She ignores me sitting there for a minute or two even though she saw me and when she came to the window I told her that I was missing both items and she treated me as if I was lying. It's a shame that this girl wants to play games when the food here is amazing, but that whole situation put a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be back. If you can't be kind and provide basic customer service, you should not be in the service industry. If I could take my tip...
