This restaurant has been my favorite place to eat since I was introduced to the concept in August of 2023. Serving soul and comfort food, the eatery has a menu filled with delicious offerings ranging from chicken tenders and wings to sandwiches, seafood platters, fry bowls, and more.
At that first visit in August, I fell in love. Yes, it started with the food, but over time, it became about so much more. I enjoyed listening and watching the owner’s vision for the business come into fruition. While there has been setbacks, his family’s drive, faith and strength was very inspirational.
It is difficult to return to a lot of the businesses because of a variety of factors (location, time, money, etc.). However, Food Geeks, is a business I choose to consistently spend my money at.
The quality and taste of the food has always been superb. Crisp, where needed, and flavorful. In addition, I love seeing the chef’s creativity especially with the Sunday Dinner Meatball and Sweet Potato Cornbread muffin.
Here is a running list of menu items I’ve tried since the eatery opened and highly recommend:

Read moreMy family and I opted to eat here on a whim while on a family road trip. From start to finish, our experience was great! We walked into a clean, modern, air-conditioned space with positive music setting the tone.
My family ordered an array of items from their kiosk right next to the front door, which has everything in large font with descriptions, so you can make your yummy selection more easily. Once you order at the kiosk, grab a number and rest your feet a minute until they call your order.
I got the Philly cheesesteak, mac and cheese, and Pink Passion drink. •The Philly cheesesteak is two meals all on its own! It comes with a house sauce that’s similar to a spicy mayo, and they pack it with properly seasoned meat and veg on fresh bread. •The mac and cheese is a solid standby that came hot and fresh, with plenty of cheese. •The honey-glazed sweet potato cornbread was a delectable addition to the meal. •I could stop in just for the Pink Passion drink alone! Fruity and sweet (but not crazy sweet), it was the perfect choice to wash down my meal on a hot day.
My family got plantain, salmon, wings, and a bunch of other items. Everyone left full and happy!
The customer service was excellent, and the owners were the ones at work, ready to answer any questions we had. Don’t forget to take your tray to the refuse station to get rid of your trash!
This mom and pop is one not to miss. Skip the overpriced drive-thru and fill up by supporting small business...
Read moreI recently went to Good Eats because I wanted to try a food place I have never had before. As I arrived into the restaurant the atmosphere was amazing they had good music playing. Customer service was good I was greeted upon entering the store and asked did I need help with anything. The food that I ordered was the One meat two sides with a roll and I purchased extra sides. The meat choice was fried chicken the chicken was fresh but it put me in the mind of Chinese chicken. Not soul food chicken but it wasn't bad. The chicken could have been seasoned more and less pepper used. The yellow seasoned rice was hard, the collard greens had too much vinegar. The rolls was hard around the edges. The Yams was sweet but had a sour taste those were the least favorite. My favorites that I enjoyed was the fish (Whitening) I should of have it fried a little crispy but overall it was good and the Mac and cheese was good. Overall I got all that for $35.00 which is not bad. I might give this place a second chance and try...
