The Express Deck is functionally indistinguishable from a scam. The pitch sounds great: luggage assistance, an exclusive shuttle to chauffeur you to the terminal, and valet parking. So whatâs the problem?
Well, you donât get any of those things.
There is absolutely no baggage assistance. The âvaletâ doesnât even lift the bags out of the trunk. But it wouldnât matter if he did. You still have to carry your luggage to the shuttle, load it on yourself, load it off yourself, and then carry it inside the airport yourself.
The âexclusiveâ shuttle is exclusive only in the sense that it doesnât go to other lots where you arenât parked. It is otherwise identical to the Daily shuttle, except that it takes longer to get to the airport from the âexpressâ lot.
The valet parking aspect is similarly half-baked. Yes, a valet will take your key and park your car. When you return, you have to call or text your number before pickup. Then you have to stand in line and give the counter your claim ticket again to pay. (Maybe someone should tell them about the Internet?) Theyâll ask you for a tip, and if you add one on, theyâll hand you your key and tell you to get your car. That sounds like a joke, but the only laughs are at your expense. No one brings your car overâyou will find it yourself, carry and load your own bags, and navigate out of the deck.
So ⌠how is Express Deck better than the Daily Deck? Unless you canât bear to drive in to a parking spot but for some reason are fine backing out, I have no idea. Itâs worse in every way. But at least it only costs one-third more per...
Read moreThere is absolutely nothing âexpressâ about it. I fly frequently for work and I can tell you EVERY time I land I have to wait about 15 minutes for the âexpressâ shuttle to pick me up to bring me to the garage.
The best part is, when you finally get there you have to stand in line (there is never any more than 2 ppl working and they always look annoyed to deal with you) to hand in your ticket and get your car. They tell you to text them your ticket number when you land and they will pull up your car and half the time they donât pull it up for you. Theyâll ask you for a tip, and if you add one on, theyâll hand you your key and tell you to get your car. No one brings your car overâyou will find it yourself, carry and load your own bags, and navigate out of the deck.
Honestly, daily parking is cheaper and seems to have more shuttles. The only time I use express is when daily parking is booked. The express deck is a disaster. I will however say the express deck shuttle drivers are pleasant. Thatâs the only positive thing Iâve got...
Read moreI use the business valet parking all the time for work travel. On my recent trip I came back to find that they had to jump start my car that never had to be done before. I was told it was because of the temperatures. When getting ready to leave another valet work came over to my car and told me that in fact it wasn't due to the temperatures but that my lights were left on from the time I left on Tuesday - Thursday evening. A few days later, my car battery completely died and had to be replaced. While trying to speak with management at this location, they are second guessing what I am saying and trying to hold off putting in a claim. They have even told me that a claim will not probably be honored. They also tried to tell me that they looked up details about my car and how that if lights were left on the battery shouldn't be effected. This is terrible customer service and I will be going further up the chain to deal with this company. Charlotte is better than this and I am ashamed to have this type of customer service...
