Salud Beer Shop, nestled in the NoDa neighborhood. This joint is a beer lover’s paradise, serving up brews by the can and tap, wine, and they even have non-alcoholic options for those taking it easy. With seating for 5 at the bar and about 25 in the dining area, it’s cozy, intimate, and perfect for catching up with friends or making new ones.

When I strolled in, the TVs were buzzing with the excitement of the Euro soccer game, making it the ideal spot to kick back and enjoy a pint and a pizza. Parking? No worries there! Just a hop, skip, and a jump to a public parking garage that’ll set you back $5 an hour. Not too shabby for NoDa.

The menu at Salud is short but sweet, featuring pizza, meatballs, salads, and a couple of sandwiches. But let’s be real—I came here for the pizza, based on rave reviews from the local foodies. They’ve got a killer weekday lunch special: a cheese, margarita, or pepperoni pizza and 4 wings for a cool $15. Can’t beat that deal!

They offer 11 different 12-inch wood-fired pizzas, with vegan cheese available for those plant-based pals. I asked the bartender for his top pick, and he steered me towards the “El Gordo.” This pie comes loaded with house red sauce, mozzarella, a dollop of ricotta, thin slices of meatball, salami, basil leaves, EVOO, sea salt, and a drizzle of house-made hot honey.

The “El Gordo” arrived fresh out of the oven, piping hot and looking like a million bucks. Each slice was a work of art, with a slice of salami, a thin slice of meatball, a dollop of ricotta, basil leaves, and a drizzle of hot honey. If I had one tiny critique, it would be that the meatball could’ve been a bit more generous. One small sliver per slice left me wanting more of that meaty goodness.

The red sauce was on point—sweet, just the way I like it. The mozzarella was plentiful, maybe even a bit too plentiful, as it turned the crust a bit greasy and soggy. And while the hot honey was a nice touch, I wish there had been more of it to really amp up the flavor. The crust itself was on the softer side, so if you’re a fan of a crispier bite, I’d recommend asking them to cook it a bit longer.

All in all, Salud Beer Shop is definitely a spot I’d return to, especially with a friend to share a pie and some wings. And if you’re a beer connoisseur, this place should be on your...

Im from here in Charlotte, so i feel like i have a grip on the "new noda". Best craft beer shop in Charlotte,by far! Wide selection of bottle or draft wine or beer, build your own bottles and cans. Bartenders are attentive and informative. I haven't experienced upstairs brewery tap until tonight, and it is up and coming. I can see yall going above and beyond birdsong, and noda brewery in the near future. Jamie the bartender took care of me upstairs. Though it was slow, as of always he and the staff took care of me and got into some real personal/intellectual conversations. Met the owner and his daughter tonight after passing them a couple hours before in NODA without knowing who they were. The owner is down to earth and I can tell his daughter will be something special. I love this place and love yall! Keep doing what your doing! Yall are perfect! Never change! Crepe cellar and growlers are great independently own businesses too... but THIS is the best place to...

Suggestion to management..you offer your menu online with the option for delivery and you've also recently been added to some delivery platforms (which is awesome). However, trying to determine what to order by way of food is a challenge. You simply list the name of the item with no description of what ingredients are used (toppings, sauce, etc). We are flying blind with placing an order, especially if this is your first time ordering. Humble Mumble Pizza sounds great, but what's on it? Is it a red sauce, white sauce, no sauce..what toppings are on this pizza? That's literally all that is listed for all food items except for one..the name. For us patrons that can't physically be there, unless we've eaten the dish before, how are we to try new things when all we have are names?

We'd love to support your business..please don't make it difficult for us to do so. I hope you can make some changes...

Honestly, I just came here to pass the time while we waited for another bar to open up down the street. When I arrived with my friends it was VERY quiet and we kind of felt awkward when we arrived just because of how quiet it was. There was no music at all. They have a big open floor plan with plenty of seat options to choose from. From regular dining, it is tabled to a more lounge couch, sofa style. Their decorations were chic and modern, and they also had merchandise if you wanted to buy something. The only thing off about the place was that they didn't have music playing at all and it wasn't until about an Hr later when we realized they turned the music on so the vibe instantly changed after. We didn't stay too long. Just ordered a glass of wine, and that's it. I definitely would come back, though again. It seems like a cool spot to chill at if you don't feel like walking far.

I heard that Fūd at Salud was closing, so I wanted to try some waffle wiches before it did. When we got there, they had flyers saying they were moving uptown so I guess they aren't really closing. We ordered way too much food, but we did get to try all of the savory waffle wiches. We got the special (pizza with meatballs), the Jason Gi-Ham-Brie, the peanut butter/banana/honey/bacon, and the chicken and waffles. I really liked all of them. I thought the ham and Brie could have used more peaches. The rest of them were really good. The peanut butter banana might have been my favorite, but it's hard to pick one. They will bring your food upstairs to Salud Cervicia too! There isn't a ton of seating at Salud, but upstairs is a lot nicer and more spacious. The service was good, the food was delicious, and I would definitely come back for their food again!
