Hadn’t been to Salud quite some time, except for coffee, and decided to check it out for dinner and beers a few weeks ago. We arrived and ordered our beers and pizza then sat down. While we waited on our pizzas, we finished our beers and ordered another round. A couple sat next to us about 10 mins after we arrived and ordered and had already received their food by then (also pizzas). We gave it about 10 more minutes, having waited over 45 minutes at this point, so my husband went to confirm if our order was placed since we had been waiting so long that every table that ordered food around us had all gotten theirs, except us.

The bartender sent a staff member out to our table a few minutes later. She was rude, didn’t greet us at all and just asked “you guys ordered about five minutes ago right?”. We told them we ordered almost an hour ago and she told us that since we had just placed our order that it would be another 20 minutes since 8 pizzas were ahead of us. Super clear they just forgot to ring in our order but the response to blame us after ordering over an hour prior was wild. When we got our pizza 1.5 hours later, it was terrible. I’ve heard others rave about it so I’m not sure why it was so bad, but we ate two pieces since we waited so long then left.

We sent an email to the restaurant just to let them know what happened, in lieu of writing a bad review for a local place. We allowed a few weeks for response and never heard back, which makes this experience worse. We have always loved the beer selection and vibe at Salud and so we are super disappointed in this experience. Maybe we’ll go back for just beers at some point,...

A Versatile Spot for Work, Meetings, and Great Food

I’ve visited Salud Cerveceria twice, and each visit offered a different experience, giving me a well-rounded impression of the place. My first visit was for a breakfast meeting with a client. I was pleasantly surprised by the upstairs space, which was quiet and filled with people working diligently at their tables. The variety of seating options caters to whatever vibe you’re going for. I ordered coffee and a bagel, both of which were excellent. They also offer breakfast sandwich options if you’re looking for something more filling.

My second visit was for a late lunch meeting, and once again, I was impressed. The atmosphere was calm yet lively, with a mix of people working or enjoying conversations over lunch. I had the garlic wings, and they were absolutely delicious. The wings were perfectly seasoned and didn’t rely on the sauce for flavor—a rarity these days! I also tried a salad and their pizza, both of which were satisfying. They even offer a pizza and wings special during specific weekday hours, which is a great deal.

Salud Cerveceria has quickly become a go-to spot for me when I’m in the area and need to get some work done. Their free Wi-Fi is a bonus for anyone working remotely. I’m also intrigued to see what the late-night scene offers. Whether you’re there for coffee, lunch, or just a productive work session, Salud Cerveceria is a gem worth checking out....

I was in town, and although, not a real big fan of Charlotte (as of yet), I’m at least, giving it a chance. I, however, do really enjoy NoDa, which is a very vibrant area. I was hoping to try out a few brewery’s and nearby restaurants, but most were closed on a Monday. I saw this place listed on a website “charlottegotalot,” and decided to give it a try.

Damien, one of the beautiful staff members, was quite welcoming, and helpful with answering a few of my questions. I was specifically looking to try out their IPA selection, and of the two offered, I tried them both. Meh… it was ok. I was a bit confused on sizes, but it wasn’t worth the hassle.

The place had a nice, inviting, ineffable feel to it. We entered the building through the back, where the patio is, so I was unsure what to expect. But its beguiling atmosphere would definitely have me returning.

I saw a few patrons, tucked off in their own respective corners, often listening to their headphones with a book, and others, quietly typing away on their laptops. So, I can tell it’s a great place to chill, unwind, and get some work done too! Or, simply, catch a friendly conversation with friends. They also had a game table, offered bites to eat (no finger foods, unless you count chicken), and a space to relax your worries away. Win/Win. Will recommend to...

A very laid back brew pub serving wood fired pizza, apps and salads along with craft beers. Tried their Del Patio which was a Mexican Lager only 4% ABV. Refreshing on a hot Spring day. We sat upstairs. You order your beverages and food at the bar and the food is brought to you. My wife is Gluten free so she had the Jazzy Belle Beet Salad with roasted beets, arugula, gorgonzola, pistachios and balsamic vinaigrette. A lot going on but blended well We also tried the Latin Lingo pizza with chicken, roasted corn, onion, jalapenos,Parm cheese ( they were out of Cotija) cilantro and a Spicey creme base...extremely flavorful but I think would have beej better with the Cotija. Also had the Humble Mumble pizza which was pesto, garlic, chicken, feta,EVOO,tomato and calabrian Chiles. Lots going on with this pizza! For a very relaxed setting with unique pizza flavors, this is a fun place to go.

Accessibility is thwarted by #ableist owners. Outside at the corner of their exterior seating, they have blocked the curb and curbcut from easy access for wheelchairs with plantpots and benches. The side ramp is also blocked with tables and benches. When I went into discuss, patrons had to move seats to gain access to the bar. The accessibility options are there but the humans that work there have set it up for failure to squeeze in as many people as they can...unless you're in a wheelchair I guess. Picture: The curbcut is around the corner to the side, essentially next to the table. The area between the telephone pole and the planter is too narrow, to turn 95° to get to the curbcut is also too narrow and part of the curbcut is blocked by the other planter. Complete disregard for wheelchairs, walkers and strollers.
